<< Dominatech Population Control System Manual >>

Whether you're master of a large harem, warden of a prison facility, or totalitarian dictator of a banana republic, sometimes you need to control a large population of people. At Dominatech, we've got you covered. The Dominatech Population Control System is a central control console for controlling a large number of linked collars, worn by people anywhere in your sim. Collars are copy/trans, so you can collar as many subjects as you need, but they only operate while in the same region (sim) as the control console. You can also grant permission to up to a dozen other people to help control the population, and give them remote controls that allow the to control any collared subject in the region from any location in the region that is on your land. Also included are "telespots" that you can place anywhere in the region, and teleport subjects to them at will, as well as teleport them to you or to a set "home" location (such as their own personal cell). The collars also have all the usual features: animations, clothing and RLV abilities control, forced sitting, leashing, chaining to objects, forced follow, confining to locations, and remote control. The wearers cannot remove their collars themselves (Restrained Life required) but they can be removed by any guard.

== Getting Started ==

To use the system, rez the main console, named "Population Control System" by default. Note that when people wear collars or remote controls, the device searches for the control console and prints something like this when they find it: "DPCS Collar is now controlled by Population Control System." You can rename the main console so that gives a bit more info than "Population Control System", e.g. rename the main console "Prison of Despair Control System", then when some is collared, their collar will print: "DPCS Collar is now controlled by Prison of Despair Control System."

Click the console to bring up the menu, and add any additional operators and controllers, as needed. Operators are people who can control the main console, including adding and removing opeators and controllers. This list always has the owner of the unit on it, and need not have anyone else and should probably be limited. Controllers are people who can control people's collars, use remote controls, and use the main console to control collared people (refered to henceforth as "subs"). This is the list to which you would add all your guards and anyone else authorized to take control of subs.

You can also get various items from the main console. It will give out collars and cuffs to anyone, give out remote controls to controllers, and give out telespots to operators. All of these items are copy/trans, so you only need to get them once, and can rez or give out as many as you need directly from your inventory, they're just always also available here as a convenience. Note, most of these items are modifiable, so you can recolor, retexture, add animations, or otherwise modify the collars, cuffs, etc. If you do so, make sure you put a copy of the modified version back into the main console so it hands out the modified version. Rename the original something like "Original Collar" and then put the modified version in, making sure it's named "DPCS Collar", and that will be the version that's handed out henceforth. Of course, you can also simply keep the main console someplace private, and use some other object to hand out modified collars and cuffs and such to new subs.

Clicking on the collar of a sub brings up a command menu. That same menu can be brought up from the main console by clicking on "Command..." from the main console's menu, then selecting a name of a sub from the list that comes up. Any sub can be commanded from the main console as long as they're in the same region. You can also get a remote control from the main console that can be used to do the same from anywhere in the region. Just make sure you're over the same parcel as the main console when you wear the remote (which is a HUD attachment), or over another parcel in the same region with the same owner.

Telespots are spots that appear on the collars' "Teleport..." menu. Any place you might want to teleport a sub to, rez a telespot, and rename it something unique but short, as that's what's going to appear on the button on the teleport menu. Note that the telespots need to be located over land owned by the same person or group as the land under the main console.

So, rez the main console, add operators and controllers, hand out collars and cuffs to subs and remote controls to controllers, rez and rename any telespots you want, and you're ready to go!
