Positivation Pets

Positivation Pets are simple shoulder pets that give you Positive Motivation Affirmations. They will help combat your negative mood and self esteem issues, and don't worry! They ONLY talk to their owner! (Silently!)

INSTRUCTIONS:-------------------------------------------------

Just wear the pet any way you like.
Click for a Positive Motivation message.
Click and hold to adjust the timing of the random encouragement.

You can customize your messages, or even put the Positivation Pets Brain into any modifiable pet you already own. (see below.)

The first time you wear one, you will be given the option to give it a name. Just type the name in the box and hit SEND/SUBMIT (or whatever your viewer calls the button that is not "Ignore"). Or leave it blank and hit send to not change the name. (Or Ignore it, if you really want to.)

You can change the name of your pet yourself if you rez it on the ground, or if you Rename it in your inventory, while you're not wearing it.

CUSTOMIZATION:-------------------------------------------------------------

Open the AFFIRMATIONS notecard to edit. Each line contains a saying the Pet can use. Remember, *no one* else will see or hear the Pet speaking, so feel free to enter anything you like that will help YOU. You can make it as sedate or as excited as you like :)

TIP: Try to think of things you usually say in your negative self talk. For example, "I'm ugly." Then transform this into a positive statement in the notecard: "You are beautiful!" You can use several variants of this.

Hah, take THAT negative self talk! ;)


To turn any shoulder pet, rideable, wandering pet, or piece of furniture (any modifiable object!) into an Positive Motivation Affirmation machine... All you need is the "PositivePetsBrain" script and the "AFFIRMATIONS" notecard.

Rez or Wear your Positivation Pet, then right click to edit it. Find the Script and Notecard in the object's Content tab.
Drag them (the info notecard too, if you want) into your inventory.

From there, drop them into the object. (TIP: drop in the script first, then the notecard, and the script will reset and be ready to go!)

The script will not interfere with any other scripts in your pet/object. If your pet/object already has a touch script, both will fire when the object is clicked. The object may also have a click-and-hold routine. When you do this, it will also bring up the PositivationPet random timer dialogue. You can just dismiss the dialogue with the "Done" button, or "Ignore." The script will continue on just fine after cleaning up the menu functions.
