A cute little key-making shop, perfect as a filler space in a large city or village. It looks wonderful in daylight or in the standard, SL midnight setting too!
Materials were used for several items in ways that allowed me to keep the Li down. Please make sure you have your advanced lighting settings turned on fully experience the build as intended.
There are 10 animations in each stool, and three animations in the counter, (accessed by clicking the counter under the register.)
The stools come attached to the build, but are ok to unlink without changing the total Li. I linked them to make moving it around easier. If you unlink the stools, then decide to relink them later, make sure the main portion of the build serves as the main prim, (grab it last before linking.) If you make a stool the main prim, the entire build will become click-sit for that stool alone, and you won't be able to use the other animations. If you accidentally do this, just rez a new one :)
The front window wall is *not* linked, so please make sure you're in edit when rezzing and moving the shop. As of yet, there is no script that will allow a linked mesh part of a non-phantom build to be phantom, (the way there were with sculpts.) Because of this, please don't link the front wall to the rest of the build. If you do, the entire thing will go phantom, or you won't be able to walk through the front door, (depending on what ends up being the root prim.) Just throw it out and rez a new one.
This item has regular prims for the walls, floor and ceiling. The back windows and everything else are 100% original mesh. The entire build totals 24Li, but that number can easily be lowered by removing some parts if you choose. The only required pieces for the counter animations are the register, counters, key cutting machine, and at least one board of keys on the side wall.
The boards of keys on the side wall are identical to those on the back wall, with the exception that one on the back wall has a flashing script to make the sign's florescent light occasionally flicker. It's labeled as such in the edit/name line of that particular board.
There are no scripts in the door or the hanging florescent lights. They didn't seem necessary for an open store, and with the footprint being so small, (4x6 meters, including the sign,) an opening/closing door could cause issues moving around. All the parts are modifiable though, so you are free to add your own scripts if you choose.
I invite you to look at, and play around with the shop by visiting my main store by using the link in blue below. It is easily visible, sitting in front of my store's entrance, just across the plaza.
I am not able to assist with any scripts you may decide to add, but for everything else, please feel free to send me an IM and I'll respond as quickly as possible, (usually within 24 hours.) If I'm traveling and not able to get to a computer, I will list that in my profile.
