"Plug and Play" (just put it on your land and click it!). Works on group owned (rented) land too (On group owned land you need to deed the radio to the group that owns the land, instruction comes with the radio)!
This Vintage radio is Mesh, that means that you need a Mesh compatible viewer, like the latest Linden Lab Viewer.
You can add your own favorite stations easily in chat. No need to handle notecards.
*It is very easy to use, even for Newbies! (Plug and Play) Just put it on your land and left click it!
*Automatic free updates! Lean back, your radio will update itself weekly! No more lost streams. (That is one of the biggest problems of other radios in SL. After a few weeks the channels change and ppl have to buy new radios. We have solved this with our automatic update system.)
*Search for music genre (menu driven)!
*Modify, so you can stretch it to your required size.
* Choose between preprogrammed Music Streams, thousands of Internet Radio stations or stream from your own URLs.
* If you like you can easily add your own favourite radio stations (Urls). The Radio leads you step by step after choosing the `Programming` button in the ` Info` menu.
* Access List! Specify other user (friends) that are allowed to add new streams and change stations. (this function is highly useful to club owners that have different DJs who have their own streams (and to landloards who can give their tennants full power over the radio). So the clubowners don't even have to be there to set the stream, when the DJs come. )
* Quick change of the music station
*You can rename all the buttons easily and/or select your own stream.
*The owner has full contol over who is allowed to operate the radio.

the only radio I use
I have used this radio for years. My original version works great always with the automatic update feature. I bought a new one now to use on a different Sim. I've had many radios over the years, those programmed by notecards, menus, etc, etc. This menu is extremely easy to use and buttons are easily ordered in any fashion that you like. I thank the creator of this radio for building a radio that continues to work for many years with no maintenance and for his great technical support.
Expensive & limited
An okay product except you can't program it with the simplicity of a notecard. You have to manually enter every single station you want using menu buttons, which makes it tedious to do and impossibly time consuming to arrange the stations in the order you want them. An expensive yet very limiting version of the ubiquitous 'vintage radio'.

Very cute radio and extremly easy to use, basically just rez and click :) Love the vintage design too, it is both decorative and functional.

I've been trying to figure out how to get music just to my house & not to my gardens. Trigit answered all of my questions. I tried the skybox radio but when it didn't turn out the way I thought it would, he let me trade it for a parcel radio. After I partitioned my land so the house was separate from the gardens, I:
1) Rezzed the radio in the house
2) Deeded it to my group following the VERY easy & clear instructions
3) Chose a really cool style from the many offered
4) Selected a station & voila! I had music!
I liked that radio so much, I just bought & installed this mesh one in my seaside cottage & am listening to music as I write. It only has the one style, but it's so CUTE and fits right in with my eclectic furnishings.
