Check your script count is one of many ways! 1) Right click yourself, select More and then finally click Script Info. 2) Top left bar where it says Avatar > Avatar Health > Scripts. If you are above 3,000kb, please do the considerate thing and reduce that. It's not fun to get so many people complaining about your laggy avatar either.

Checking complexity is important too! Top left bar again, Avatar > Avatar Health > Show Avatar Complexity Information! Another way to do that is by Preferences > General. From there, look at the bottom. Show Avatar Complexity > Only if too complex > Show own complexity.

For me, my ideal going out is always below 3,000kb with way less than 100,000 complexity. Any higher than either of those two, I'm leaving the sim and changing avatars. Yes, changing avatars causes lag too.

Draw Distance must be low. Unless you're taking snapshots, it should be 160m. Particle count 512, maximum complexity you are exposed to, should be 190,000 or less. Turning off most shaders should help you out, as well as turning off shadows, water reflections should be minimal.

More Importantly! In preferences > Network & Files > Connection is your bandwidth. Mine is really high, towards the right. Your default should be 1500 kbps. If you're still having issues, you may turn it up high as it goes like mine is. Be extra careful with it.

Please keep all of this and more, in mind. Not everyone has a good decent computer like you and I. Not only that, with everyone in lockdown. Internet is being abused to the max! Meaning every single person you can think of, even the cats, are on the internet. Always be considerate of others. <3
