The Region Scanner is a HUD that can help you navigate the grid.
It's primary Function is to help you avoid Banlines and find Rezz Zones!
It was designed as a tool to make Pony carting more enjoyable but it will work for other vehicles too and can also help explorers in general.
It shows the current Region as a grid at a resolution of 44x44 which is good enough to catch most Parcels in a Region it might miss very small Parcels though.
It renders the Region on entry from the side you entered the region from so you can see problematic Banlines as early as possible!
It is meant to be used as a HUD! Beware when rezzing it in world it is very heavy 127 Land Impact!
The Region Scanner is Copy/Mod the Scripts inside are Copy only!
Short Instructions:
Click the down arrow or long click the Map for the Options Menu.
Click the Map for Parcel Information.
Click left/right Arrows or the Border to switch Modes.
Double click the Map to TP.
You can resize the "Region Scanner via the Options menu".
Toggles:
Description: toggles whether to show the parcel description or not on a parcel click
Extended: toggles whether to show the parcel flags or not on a parcel click
Rotation: toggles map rotation on or off
Colors:
Yellows/Ochers: Rez Zones on Land
Light Blues/Purples: Rez Zones on Water
Red: Restricted
Bright Green: Linden Roads
Bright Blue: Linden Waterways
White/Greys: Abandoned Land
Greens: Accessible Land
The "Region Scanner" has 2 Modes:
1. Solid Map Mode with slightly randomized colors for each parcel so they can be separated visually.
2. Map Overlay Mode which overlays the parcel information over the region map piece from the online map.
This mode requires to have Media allowed in your viewer !!!
It uses map tiles from https://secondlife-maps-cdn.akamaized.net

This is possibly the best tool for dealing with mainland travel, it lets you see everything you need to know to get around, find places to rez things and avoid the parcels owned by idiots who like ban lines.
