This is a retro-styled EKG/ECG monitor/defibrillator unit patterned after Datascope models used in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

The built-in menu allows you to select from six heart rate/rhythm combinations: normal sinus, tachycardia, bradycardia, ventricular fibrillation (v-fib), PEA (pulseless electrical activity), and asystole (flatline). The monitor readout can also be controlled remotely via the Mercy patient HUD. Whatever the patient sets on the HUD is automatically displayed, changing as they respond to treatment.

The defibrillator can be set and charged to 50, 200, 300, or 400 joules by touching the selector switch.

The main unit interacts with the Mercy patient HUD. When a shock is delivered, the HUD will animate the patient and prompt for a response. The HUD isn't required to use the monitor, but it adds a few extras to the experience. The current version of this equipment is compatible with version 5 of the patient HUD. Previous versions will no longer work with this item.

The monitor also gives out a set of wearable paddles and ECG leads appropriate for the era.

This unit makes a great (if old-fashioned) addition to any hospital, doctor's office, first-responder unit, or other medical facility.
