■ This animated flag pole keeps the flag *both* "flying" in the SL wind and *rotated* around the pole to keep it flying downwind (it doesn't contort into a "U" shape trying to bend around a fixed pole position to follow the SL wind).

□ Avatar Animations allow you to stand at the flag pole and raise and lower the flag with "hand-over-hand" rope pulls.
These are not static poses, but fluid animations.

□ Animated Flag Raises and Lowers along with the Avatar's Animations.
The avatar animation and the motion of the flag work together; they are synchronized.

□ Half-mast animation hoists the flag to the finial for an instant, then lowers it to half-mast. Likewise, when the flag is lowered, it is hoisted to the finial for an instant, and then lowered.

■ CONSTRUCTION
A mixture of prim, flexi-prim and mesh components are used to achieve the best LOD and the least Land Impact. In addition this allows the Owner to resize the linkset and the pole separately, allowing greater flexibility for the venue (e.g. on the ground or on a roof).

The most common things you may want to do are:

1. Resize the entire linkset.

2. Change the length of the pole. To do this Edit the Flag Pole, move it up in the air if you are lengthening the pole. Then "Edit linked" select the pole and Un-check "stretch Both Sides". Stretch the object (CTRL+Shift) and grab the blue cube at the bottom of the pole and slide it up or down in the Z-axis. This is especially useful if you don't want to resize the flag itself, but need a longer pole for the ground or a shorter one for roof top mounting.

3. Change the flag's texture. Place your own personal textures on each side of the flag and change the flag's aspect ratio.

4. Change the Flag's "Flexible Path" options to alter how it behaves in the wind.

5. Turn the Flag's Full Bright setting on or off.

6. Add an ornament (e.g. eagle) to the top of the flag pole.

■ POSITIONING the animations after resizing by the Owner:
The Flag Pole includes an easy-to-use pose positioning tool that allows the Owner to alter the default positions of the animations following a resize so that the user's feet are positioned on the ground

■ ADJUSTING the animations by individual avatars:
The users can edit their personal positions by sitting on the Pole, pressing [ADJUST], then [POSE] and using the X, Y, Z menu buttons. When they press [SAVE] the position it will be recorded for their avatar and will be restored for them the next time they sit.
