The S2 Sky Map Icons are a tool to use the Second Life built in World Map and Mini Maps to identify and feature your important sites, buildings or areas. This helps visitors, residents or users to easily find points of interest or those places that could be difficult to find on their own, without the need to create and distribute custom maps. It also serves as a clear way to identify what services and amenities the land or sim has to offer.

This type of icons or signs has been used successfully for years on mainland, helping an infinite amount of residents to identify certain things like land rentals, airports, marinas and hubs for grid transportation systems. With a well designed set like the S2 Sky Map Icons, is now convenient and ideal to use this mapping system for private sims and other things that have not been covered before.

The icons are fully original design, made to be easily understood and identified regardless of language and culture. Their style is fairly generic, allowing them to fit on sims of any style and scenario.

We include a full perm visual directory that you can place on your information/landing area and/or distribute to other people to let them know what the icons means and always have a reference.

Their size is convenient as default, but can be enlarged with no difficulty or problems. Being modify enabled, is plausible to customize them entirely if desired.

Their setup is easy and fast. Each icon is scripted so when you have finished placing them on the desired spot, it moves automatically to an ideal height and deletes its script to prevent any unnecessary lag. Do not rotate the object in any way, the rotation matches the world map.

Be aware that the built in maps are fully managed by Linden Labs, and they update in intervals normally of a day, but could take up to several days. This means that the map wont show these icons immediately on map once they are placed, and won't remove from map instantly once deleted neither. To have the icons appearing on map permanently, the physical icons must remain rezzed for the duration of their use.
