Pretty damn useless
While I have been fairly impressed with the products I've bought recently from SHX Club Equipment this item has been disappointing. I rarely find any station on a search that does not return a "URL passed to llHTTPRequest is not valid" error message. In fact, I have yet to find a station at all that will play.
I realize this is mostly a function of the innumerable outdated listings provided by SHoutcast and not the fault of SHX per se. And the remmote does function as a reliable remote you can use to operate their club boards which is why i didn't give a lower star rating. But I BOUGHT the remote specifically to locate playable radio streams.
It's my understanding (and i may be wrong) but addresses that don't end with a port number or the extention MP3 will not play in SL. So anything ending with "stream" for example will fail. If this is true then the remote should filter those invalid results out of the search listing or, at the very least, offer guidance as to what to look for when choosing an address. Taking a hands off approach with a detail like this makes for an unsatisfying user experience.
waste of money
bought this hoping to find some radio stations for my reciever noy only couldnt find any it cleared my dj list in reciever as well as club name this thing is garbage
Not Copy
I agree for a copy Item is shoud be what it states on the add and not misleading ive now had to buy three
No Copy
Why does it say in the description for this remote that it is copy? It even shows in the ad photo that it is copy. When I purchased it I found that it isn't. False advertising!
