=== Does NOT work with mesh parts!
If you wish to use mesh, have it rez those parts on drop!
This kit converts any modifiable, in-world object in Second Life into a rarity index by using the object key that was assigned to it upon rezzing it using a simple but effective algorithm that cannot be tampered with and is easily verifiable.
In short, it converts the 128bit object ID into a 32bit signature by cutting it into 8 32bit parts and using XOR to obtain the 32bit signature.
Rarity is determined by how low of a value the 32bit signature is.
The lower the number, the more objects you have to go through to find a signature that low.
Link a low value signature prim to your artwork to authenticate it as the original of your work of art.
A rare NTF takes real effort to create and there are no shortcuts. This kit
classifies them in colors: Green: 1 of every 16 prims checked. Red: 1 in 256
Blue 1 in 4096 - Black: 1 in 65536 - Magenta: 1 in 1,048,576 - Cerulean is
1 in 16.7 million. The lowest possible signature: 0x00000001 comes up in
approximately every 4.3 billion prims. Having a signed prim in your creation
gives proof of the effort needed to create that prim linked in your very own
Second Life NTF. Premade objects are available starting with Blue starting at
L$10. The script also shows the suggested minimum price for your NTF based
on how much work you had to do searching. Also, there might be some luck
involved if you happen upon a prim that reflects alot more effort than you put
in. With this in mind a Cerulean with signature 0x0000000f is worth
L$100,000! A Blue starts at 0x000fffff. A great way to certify your SL works!
Object IDs also change when taken into inventory and rerezzed so these SL NTFs must be worn from in-world and dropped after teleporting to relocate them on the grid in Second Life.
Getting Started:
Insert "NTF object" inside a new cube.
Insert the "NTF Mine Script" into the cube as well. The new cube will start looking for a low signature and you will get alerted in local chat when it is found. Currently the notifications are set for Blue level and above. When you have found your rare prim, Link it your build as one of the prims and modify it to your taste to integrate it with your work. After this is done. This version of your work must never be taken into inventory and rerezzed. You may take it as backup but keep in mind, to rerez it and have it verifiable, you must relink in a new rare prim. You may put your modified version of that prim into the "new cube" and use the "NTF Mine Script" again to find a copy of that part of your work that has a rare signature again.
It is suggested to leave the "NTF Object Rarity (verify)" script inside that prim as well and leave it full permissions so that a buyer of your work can see the chain has never been broken and that their new SL NTF is genuine. You may change line 48: >> llSetText("NTF rarity index: "+h+"\nNever take into inventory.\nWear and drop to move to your land.",<1,1,1>,1); << to llSetText("",<1,1,1>,1); to get the floating text removed.
That prim may also be touched by the owner and they will get the message:
Suggested Value: L$(x) with (x) being based on exactly how rare the objectID of their new SL NTF is. ie. L$10 = 0x000fffff = 1 in 4096 likelihood and 0x0000000f being L$100,000 and 0x00000000 being, well, L$1,000,000!
To transfer or sell your new SL NTF you have to leave it rezzed in world and set it for sale in Original mode so that upon buying it, the in-world NTF changes owners and not it's object IDs. The new owner must know how to wear an in world object. Once worn by the new owner, they then teleport to the area they want to have it in world at and and drop it from their avatar. They can then move it to the exact spot they want it to be.
This NTF Kit should enhance the collectability of in-world creations in Second Life in a big way with collectors getting trustable reassurance that their SL NTF is the original and nothing else! It is not a rerezzed copy. It is the exact object it's creator released into the grid!
May NTFs exist in Second Life in a similar way that NFTs exist on various cryptocurrency blockchains!
UPDATE=====
I have added a script to keep the novelty of your NTF intact in the event that you have taken it into inventory > https://pastebin.com/raw/sM9jQBkx < This script will store the rezzed object ID inside the root prim's linkset datastore for retrieval later. To keep this authentic it is recommended to use my no modify version of the script since that prevents NTFs from having any ID set. Though if you become a trusted arbitrator you are welcome to use the script with your own password to burn in the NTF id into the linket datastore to make certification possible after the original rezzed object ID has been lost from the object being re-rezzed from inventory.
My script will be named:
Persistent NTF Verifier and Recorder by Amelia Venus with copy/trans permissions set.

Not to be confused with NFTs but a cool concept.

Not to be confused with NFTs as they are not secured by any decentralised blockchain, but the idea behind this is very interesting. Well done to the creators.
