NOTE: Please make a backup copy of your Wheelchair FIRST, in case anything goes wrong!!!
This wheelchair automatically attaches to your pelvis. The included animation overrider immediately puts your avatar into sitting position.
Use the stretch function in your viewer's edit menu to adjust the chair to your body size. You might appear sunken into the floor or floating above. Adjust that using your Z-position modifier [in Firestorm: Appearance => Shape => Body => Float]. Once set you are really to roll off.
Your chair is fully modifiable, only the scripts inside are not, that's why it's listed as nomod. Feel free to add or remove prims according to your personal preferences - mod or delete the footrest, alter the push handles, remove the handles, change the seat texture... whatever you are up to ;-)
The animation overrider DOES NOT make your legs vanish. The advert just happens to depict my own avi. So don't worry - attaching this chair will not make your avatar a pixel amputee. To achieve that ^^ , just wear an appropriate alpha layer.
The recolor script lets you chose the tint for the frame parts of your chair from around 70 tones. You simply activate the script by clicking the chair TWICE - a single click will disrupt the A/O.
Upon clicking the main wheel spokes the spoke texture change script will start to randomly cycle through 5 different spoke textures.

See item in Second LifeGreat, but feels like it could use some work
I bought the *SVD* Wheelchair ROLLIUM, for myself. I am a male with legs, and after buying this wheelchair, I noticed that I could stretch it enough to fit my size, but when it came to resizing just the footrest area, that is where this is lacking, I feel because after making the Wheelchair fit my hips and torso area, my feet were not left touching the footrest, which as an RL wheelchair user myself, I find this very unpleasing and unaesthetic, and I chose this specific wheelchair, due to the fact it looks just like what I have in RL. I do hope that in the future, that full model stretching to fit each person from head to toe will be available. Other than that one tiny issue, this wheelchair is great! I can even go up a flight of steps in my home! You can't do that in RL, which I actually find fun and love!
Highly realistic and easily modifiable wheelchair
The chair is indeed crafted with lots of attention to detail. Customization can be performed by yourself or you can also contact the creator, she was very kind and helpful. Yes, the proportions don't match perfectly instantly for every imaginable shape that is being used by countless avatars. And because wheelchairs don't come as rigged mesh items, there will always be some requirement for personal calibration - which is a good thing, because it leaves the user with lots of options for a perfect fit. It seems the 3-star reviewer neither contacted the creator about her proportional issues nor did she try the demo version first - both pretty telling and not the most intelligent thing I read lately. This wheelchair was definitely NO waste of money for me.
And btw, there are 'SVD' wheelchairs with scripted push handles and / or vertically adjustible footrests availabe. These models come with a revised animation overrider which provides more fluent movements. The latter is my only point of criticism with the Rollium chair, which is basically irrelevant as you can transfer the animations from one wheelchair to another.
Best chairs in SL, no doubt. Thank you, Sharon.
Wonderfully crafted, but...
The chair is crafted with a lot of attention to detail! It looks great and comes with a lot of options to customise it, but the proportions don't work at all for any shape I have tried. Sadly a waste of money for me.
A very well done and realistic chair
As a RL chair user I can say this is very accurately detailed. Frame, wheels, spokes, cushion, tires are all vey realistic and shows a great attention to detail. Re-colors with built in script, size easily edited with the viewer. (be sure to make a vault copy before editing !) If there is anything that could be improved the wheeling animation is a bit stiff. Other than that this is the best working wheelchair I have seen in SL.
