Originating in New England in the mid 1600s, the Salt Box house is a classic style that remains popular even today. The square front and long sloping roof resembled boxes that salt was stored in at the time, giving it its name.
This version retains the classic look but has an updated interior, complete with a modern functional kitchen and cozy den area at the back with its own fireplace and skylight. It has an open concept main room with another warm fireplace.
The kitchen features detailed working mesh appliances. The doors open on the double wall ovens, the fridge doors and drawers open, the stove burners light, the dishwasher door opens, and the sink fills and drains at a touch to the tap. The coiffured tin ceiling is in keeping with the traditional style of the home and has a recessed light that turns on and off at a touch.
The second level has three roomy bedrooms and a small landing that overlooks the back room.
The top level is the master bedroom, with a shed dormer and two more skylights. A warm stone fireplace makes it a cozy retreat for those romantic getaways.
All three fireplaces are touch to light, giving a warm glow and crackling sound. The fireplace in the den has glass doors which open to allow for lighting the fire. Smoke comes from the chimney when lit.
This home also has the exclusive Wolf River Homes snow roof feature. At a touch to the roof by the owner it changes from summer to winter, complete with icicles hanging from the eaves.
The windows are tintable from clear to full black by touching either of the two controllers located on the main floor and in the master bedroom. The inside and outside can be tinted to different levels. For example, the outside can be made full black for privacy while making the inside lighter so you can still see out.
Don't let my low prices lead you to believe these are slapped together boxes. I search SL and RL for the best textures I can find and spend many hours making each home as nice as I can. I also create custom sculpts and textures that you won't find in any other homes in SL. Look around and I'm certain you won't find a better home for the money. Customer service is very important to me and I will do whatever it takes to ensure you're happy with your home.
All of my homes are copy/mod/no trans so you are free to make any changes you like to them. Some of the scripts are no mod and this will cause it to say the entire home is no mod, but anything besides the scripts can be changed. If there is something you may want changed and don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, I will do my best to help out and make it your own personal home.
