New technology in Second Life.. oblong sculpties!

Oblong sculpties make possible a whole new realm of prim saving and shape creating for sculpted prim artists. This is a relatively new feature in the current production SL client, and will get better in future releases. The sculptie in this pack are incredible prims savers with up to 8 individual appearing objects being made from 1 sculpty. This provides a sculptie that is evenly texturable even as connected mesh objects, and handles LOD very very well in my tests.

This new oblong technology has a few drawbacks that you should be aware of, things that will most likely be fixed going forwards by the Client software people

1.The sculpties may not appear correctly in some older or non - Linden viewers
2.The sculpties may take longer to load the very first time than normal sculpties, but once they are loaded into your cash are 100% stable and appear quickly.

-lod 1 16log fire with baked texture

To use the maps for new prims, copy the texture repeat settinngs from the appropriate example. Another very important setting to check is the 'stitching type' this is found in a menu under the sculpty preview window which determines the sculpty base type. This kit may include sphere, plane, torus, and cylinder sculpties.

As with all my kits the sculpt maps and textures can be used in any project in Second Life but must not be resold or given with full permissions, that is any final product that you intend to sell or give must be either no copy or no transfer.
