Serpent scripts are for high performance drift racing and focus on purely performance oriented features with a minimum script footprint and region load. Serpent requires only two root prim scripts, and features very highly customizable performance settings via notecard and menu controls.
Serpent uses standard auto key controls plus additional drift, skid, and recover key combos.
Serpent has three menu-selectable performance profiles of Cruise, Drift, and Speed. Each profile is customizable via notecard and can be further adjusted by menu. Serpent features customizable driver camera settings which also can be loaded from notecards. Up to ten notecards can be stored inside the vehicle and loaded from the menu. Notecards can contain all settings for everything inside the vehicle or for just a portion of settings, such as just camera settings or replacement settings for one of the three profiles.
Serpent can be used for distributed vehicles, permissions set to either (no transfer) and (copy) OR (no copy) and (transfer). Notecards do not need to remain in the vehicle once loaded, but they can be included for vehicle owners to load or customize themselves if the vehicles are set to modify.
Serpent works with mesh or standard prim and sculpted vehicles. Serpent wheel scripts support any prim type. Mesh or sculpted wheels must be rendered at 90-degree angles (most are).
Serpent comes with a custom sound set built in, but you can change some or all of the sounds by adding specially named replacement sounds to the root. Serpent supports up to five driver multi-animations for the adjustable animation system and includes multiple passenger support. A single driver and passenger animation are included.
Serpent is an all-new original code base built to take advantage of the latest Second Life physics and coding options. No script editing is required, all customization of physics, camera, gear sets and drift/burnout smoke is done via notecard and adjustments can be quickly made to the currently selected profile by the menu system. Adjust steering, gravity and downforce, wheel camber, drift level, turn on and off the special Serpent SuperSteer and more.
Installation assumes you have correctly set up prim shapes and correctly oriented vehicle root prim in your build and are using properly designed animation files for vehicle use. If you do not know how to set up prim shapes search marketplace for "Over32" for a free script to do this. Serpent is simple to install but requires you to have basic vehicle building knowledge.
Scripts are designed for you to use in vehicles you build and sell. Core scripts are no modify and must be set to no transfer or no copy. (Yes, you can make no-copy transferable vehicles). Core scripts must be activated before use by dropping in the included no-transfer activator tool. Extra scripts for lights, exhaust etc are full permission for you to customize.
Take the free demo pack, test out the demo vehicle on a track, try the key combos, edit the internal notecards and load them via the menu. Read through the instruction notecard included in the demo pack for the full listing of included contents.
If you have spent much time using and installing vehicle scripts in Second Life, I believe you will find Serpent to be a highly responsive performer, a quick install, and simple and convient to customize and something new and special for your customers. Many standard camera and physics settings values are used for notecard configuration can be directly ported in from your existing setups, though physics settings may need some adjustment to compensate for Serpent's low-latency responsiveness. Don't take my word for it, test it for free and decide for yourself how it compares.

DON'T BUY THIS POS.
The complete script is NO MOD, therefore theres no way you can mod your way into it. Also theres not a single place where you can edit and replace the sounds. The physics are good, but if you want more realism youre stuck with freebie features. IM me if you have any about.
not done right
when you use the scripts in a car , and some one else has the scripts in there car , its not set to owner only in script so it will control both cars menu , i tried to ask this guy to fix it but i dont think he is inworld anymore. if you plan on racing with other vehicles or just riding with em using the same script it will mess up and the people will be controlling each others vehicles, this script runs great as long as you are not racing or driving with ppl using the same scripts .if not , the script sucks. and does not work how it should.
