Side cabinet à l'anglaise in a form that became popular in France in the latter part of the XVIII century with the works of the cabinbetmakers Adam Weiseweiler and Martin Carlin. The exquisite marquetry panel on the door is inspired by the work of another Royal XVIII century cabinetmaker, Jean-François Oeben.
I am particularly attached to this cabinet, because when I built it, I dedicated it to the most beautiful Rose that ever happened to bloom in my garden of Existence. Now that all I have left of her is a solitary lighthouse beyond five dried white roses, this piece of furniture stays as a reminder: never give anything for granted, don't let your life become routine, be strong and courageous, and never stop fighting for your right to be what you want to be.
Farewell, my black-and-white sleeping Aurora.
I couldn't wake you up.
