Reviews

SimCloud II is a non-particle atmospheric cloud that covers the sky of your whole sim.

NOTE: This product can only be used on sims with no neighbours due to its size of 2048m x 2048m x 2m.

SimCloud II has multi-layered cloud textures moving at slightly varying speed to simulate natural cloud migration across the sky.

SimCloud II is an aesthetic alternative to using particle clouds.

FEATURES / BENEFITS

*1. Designed to work with the Really Useful MEGA Weather Maker (detailed instructions included in box)
- Cloud speed can be toggled (2 speeds)
- Darkens when StormClouds/Thunderstorm scene is chosen
- SimLightning feature

*2. Complete the atmosphere of your sim
- The default SL sky is boring and sterile, and does not go well with your gothic theme or urban decay mood. SimCloud can complement your build efforts.

*3. Avoid particle starvation
- Although particles are rendered by client viewers, particle max-out does occur when you have too much particle effects in your sim, which could happen when you try to cover the entire sim with particle clouds. SimCloud does not use particles, and conserves particles for other visual effects in your sim.

SPECIFICATIONS

Three flavours of SimCloud II are included in this box. Each is 2 LI.

i) Alpha 50%, fullbright
- This looks best (most natural) in my opinion because you can see some gap in the clouds to the natural sky
- However if you have trees in your sim with alpha textures, you may experience a common SL issue which is an alpha glitch with your viewer
- Hence use this if you don't have trees / alpha glitch issue

ii) No alpha, fullbright
- Use this if you have trees / alpha glitch AND you do not use SL day cycle.
(If you use SL day cycle, you may find that SimCloud II being fullbright at night may look strange.)

iii) No alpha, with sundirection script
- Use this if you have trees / alpha glitch AND you use SL day cycle
- sundirection script will make the cloud texture fullbright during SL day and not fullbright during SL night
