Sky Marker

It's easy to see the boundaries of your parcel when you are on the ground, but how do you know where they are at 3000m? Suppose you want to enlarge or move your skybox. How do you know it won't hang over your neighbor's parcel?

Experienced landowners know many ways to get the answers, but some of them are a pain. Sky Marker is your easy answer. Here's how it works:

1. Place copies of the Sky Marker tool at the corners of your parcel or any other area that you want to identify.
2. Number each copy, starting with 1. Just type the number in the marker's Description field.
3. Click on any marker, and then click the "SET" button in the dialog that appears. Your markers will set up a communication network and identify themselves to each other.
4. A text box will open, asking what elevation you want to set beacons at. Type a number in the box and click its "SUBMIT" button.
5. That's it. The system will confirm that your beacons have been placed at the elevation you selected. Go see.

At your selected elevation, the beacons connect with particle beams to outline the area you marked on the ground. The last numbered beacon connects to Beacon #1, to close the outline. Each beacon has its ID number (the same number you put on the marker at ground level) floating overhead, so you can tell which one is which.

When you no longer need the beacons and their particle outline, click any one of the markers on the ground and then select "CLEAR" from the dialog menu. All of the beacons will vanish.

Pay Attention! >>>>

1. All of your markers must be in the same sim. This scripted system will not work across sim boundaries.
2. You may use as many markers as you want, but they must be numbered in order, starting with 1.
3. The Sky Marker system will only respond to its owner, and each owner's markers use a unique communication channel. If your neighbor is also using Sky Marker, it won't interfere with yours.
4. As described above, you enter the target elevation in a text box. This feature is not supported in all V1 viewers.
