The SkyPhone is a keyboard override that replaces the default SL typing animation with a text messaging animation. It works well with most Animation Overrides, especially with more realistically designed and proportioned (i.e., average human) avatars.
The phone appears when you type in local chat, and becomes invisible after you're finished speaking. You can choose to leave the phone visible at all times, and select from 9 color change options.
Several preset screen images are included, which you can change. You can place ANY image you like on the screen, even display images that are not in your inventory, as long as you know its UUID, or "key".
The phone also has an AFK feature - if you are idle or set your status to Away, you will stand as if you're making a phone call.

ty so much...really cool phone and works just as described. Was easy to add my own picture and change the colors.
Pretty cool, actually
This works pretty well as a less obtrusive sign that your avi is entering text. You don't look as ridiculous as with the basic typing anim. Nor is it as annoying as some of the more flamboyant burner and particle emitter ones out there. I have the Skyphone on all the time now. I think it's great.
