Sleds and Toboggans:

THIS GAME IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANIMESH BASED "BOT" PLAYERS. This game only recognizes client/viewer based bots, NPCs and AFK players (i.e. SmartBot, NN Staffing Bots, Radegast, Corrade, Metabolt, POR/PORT, or any other client or service used to log in "scripted agents".)

Simple, intuitive HUD free gaming for humans. Guests can simply sit at a game, and with the simple point and click design, can begin playing without complex instructions. There's no complicated setup for NPCs or bots either. Your NPCs simply wear an attachment (which lets the game know the player is a bot) before they're seated at the game.

Sleds and Toboggans is a recreation of a 19th century French Snakes and Ladders style game, which can be easily played by NPCs, AFK avatars, and normal players with intuitive sit and click style play.

Sleds and Toboggans is a "Snakes and Ladders" style game. The player rolls the die to determine where their piece will move. The piece advances along the board based on a combination of the die value and penalty or advancement squares on the board. The piece will move to it's correct destination automatically, and the results for the turn will appear in local chat. This game uses the American "Chutes and Ladders" style rules: no extra turn for special die rolls and the player must land on the final square by exact count to win the game.

For human players: Once you are seated at the game, all pieces reset to their start position, and a new game begins. Your name appears over your game piece during your turn. Simply click the board to roll the die, and the game automatically advances your piece to its new position. If the player does not roll within the time limit, their turn is forfeited to keep the game moving for other players.

For Bots, NPCs, and AFK alts: Wear the "Autoplay Attachment Boardgamer Bot" object, and sit on a cushion. The autoplay attachment allows NPCs to play the game normally against other human or non-human opponents. The autoplay object attaches to the NPC's left eye by default (but can be worn on any avatar attachment point).

The Autoplay attachment will work with ANY bot capable of being seated and wearing an attachment. If your bot can sit and wear objects, your bot is ready to play! That includes bots running on Corrade, METAbolt, Radegast; NPCs running on dedicated bot services; or AFK alts running on Android clients and even full graphics viewers.

The Scripts:

Animation AutoChanger script: Randomly changes sitting animations every two minutes (each cushion has 3 animations). Put this in the game object if you want NPCs (and human visitors) to change positions automatically throughout gameplay.

No Local Chat- Game Relay script: If you do not want game announcements spamming local chat, place this script into a separate object, and place the object within a few meters of the game. The script uses hover text (instead of local chat) to let players follow the action.

---

NPC Communication Channel:

The NPC Communication Channel can be changed in the Sleds and Toboggans object description This channel sends game information to be received and relayed to NPCs through your bot client API commands. It allows botmasters a little more flexibility in customizing their NPC responses to gameplay events without requiring a script to actively listen on local.

I've tried to keep this game as menu-free and HUD-free as possible. While some elements of customization of this game may seem complicated (adding or writing scripts to accommodate gameplay and providing some flexibility for adapting the game to the environment), I've tried to make everything as intuitive and simple as I can for non-scripting customers, casual players, NPCs, and occasional visitors. Snakes and Ladders is a low to no-strategy game, it's a perfect game as a background activity for socializing, and the mechanics of the game objects should be no more complicated than the actual rules of the game.

A working copy of the game can be found in Fluger at the SLurl below.
