Star Trek Sliding Doors by Kosmos Asturias (ver8r)
The Version 8 sliding doors add Admin and User authentication lists, they also add "secured" and "unsecured" modes. These allow the owner far more flexibility in using the door, say for their personal quarters, or say a Star Trek themed "Ten Forward" type lounge. All you'd have to do is modify the doors to your liking and set the doors to "unsecured mode", and you'd have a wonderful entrance to your lounge! And say you have an employees only area, you can set the doors to "secured mode", and put all your employees on the "user list". Your managers can be added to the "Admin list" which allows adding and removing of users, among other functions.
SETTING UP:
To set the doors up, place them where you want the doors, and resize them how you want, DO NOT LINK THEM INTO YOUR STRUCTURE. Then edit each door prim, renaming them to what ever name you like, this will be your PREFIX. The PREFIX is said before every command, and prevents multiple doors from responding if you have more than 1 copy within chat range. For example, if you name each of the door prims "computer" your PREFIX would be "computer", so say you wanted to add a user to the door you'd say "computer add user". If your PREFIX was "enterprise", you'd say "enterprise add user".
Once you've renamed the door, and finalized the door's location and size, say "computer setup", this command is the same no matter what your PREFIX is. It reads the name of your door and sets your PREFIX, it also computes the travel distance for the doors, based on how large they are, and gets the door's current position.
OWNER COMMANDS:
"computer setup" - sets the door's PREFIX, automatically computes and set the door's travel distance.
"PREFIX + clear admins" - clears the administrators list.
"PREFIX + add admin" - adds an administrator to the administrator list.
"PREFIX + remove admin" - deletes an administrator from the administrator list.
"PREFIX + list admins" - lists the administrators on the administrator list.
"PREFIX + reset doors" - resets the doors, will clear all lists and settings and reintialize the doors.
ADMIN COMMANDS:
"PREFIX + add user" - adds a user to the user list.
"PREFIX + remove user" - removes a user from the user list.
"PREFIX + clear users" - clears the users list.
"enter" or "come" - open the doors via voice command.
USER COMMANDS:
"PREFIX + list users" - lists the users on the user list.
"PREFIX + change mode" - changes from Secured Mode to Unsecured Mode or vice versa.
"enter" or "come" - open the doors via voice command.
The doors are triggered by the following 4 methods:
- Pressing the door button
- Touching the doors themselves
- colliding with either half of the doors
- saying "enter" or "come" to open the doors via voice command.
