Small Red Barn Version 1.0

There are some things I wish were different like opening doors and a latter you could climb. But when you look at the nice little barn you get for such a low price, I have to give it 5 stars, based on VALUE.

lovely barn, textures fine for me, dont mind the doors dont open but the steps dont work up to the loft, which is a problem for me with this build.

To address something mentioned in several reviews, you can walk right through the little stall door it's transparent mesh, it just doesn't swing open. which honestly saves you script and prim anyways.

Though it may be fullbright i can not confirm as it fit well in my night time enviroments

My own issues came with the shadows where i had to place an invisible prim to cover the floor so items could be rezzed inside.

I'm writing this review because the previous ones are misleading. This is a nice build for the price; here are my pros and cons:

Pros:
It is actually quite easy to modify with some basic editing skills. I was able to unlink and remove all of the exterior doors (which are not scripted) and replace with some scripted barn doors. So that CAN be done. I was also able to make it smaller with a simple resize script dropped inside.

There's nothing wrong with the texturing unless you are *extremely* picky. Which I can be but this is fine for the very low price.

You CAN turn off the full bright, I did. It changes the look a little but you can adjust your own wind light sky to compensate.

Cons:
True, the inside stall door doesn't open and you cannot unlink it to fix. My answer to that was to make the structure phantom so I could put house my animesh horse in the stall. A few strategically place invisible prims keep him from wandering out. For me, not a big deal.

The baked in lighting in the mesh. So it's sunshine in there all the time. Meh, I don't care but I DO wish creators would stop doing this.

Overall: A nice build for the price. I only did 4 stars due to the Cons I mentioned above.

The previous review seemed too harsh, however, for its price this is a great deal, decent mesh with a decent LI, the colors are more onto the pastel side and it offers some light and shading inside which is cool!

The only downside is that the barn door, bottom and top part, are two entirely separate faces, so i cannot unlink or hide the door to place my own without hiding the entire stall, textures are accordingly to its price, not too bad! Not everything needs to be overly HD.

For a starter, picture background, this is smooth!

While this is a cute barn in the photos, in world it is something else. It does offer a nice amount of detail on the mesh itself but it is ruined by the lazy texturing. The entire barn is set to full bright and removing it you find out that the light bulbs share a texture with part of the barn so it is impossible to fix. The textures themselves have shadowing on them so that it looks as though light is always coming from one specific direction no matter which way the barn is facing or time of day. On top of all this, both outside doors and the inside door are not scripted to open. The inside door can't be fixed as it's mesh is shared with half of the interior and as such about a third of the interior of the barn is inaccessible. This barn had potential to be a really nice for the price and land impact but is completely ruined by the texturing and meshing. Nowhere in the description does it state the barn is a static demo. Save your lindens unless you just want a set piece for photos or something in the background sucking up some prim space.

If it is even possible for the creator to fix this, I will update my review on it.
