SONIC DEVICES
-----------------------
The Sonic Screwdriver is based on the unscripted product, 'David Tennant Sonic Screwdriver' by Jay0Dunn, available on MarketPlace at https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/David-Tennant-Sonic-Screwdriver/6718010. It is here scripted with a simple 'hand-gun' animation.
The Sonic Sunglasses are based on the Doctor's alternative 'wearable technology' (see: https://tardis.fandom.com/wiki/Sonic_sunglasses) and are scripted with an 'adjust' animation.
The devices are scripted to offer both manual and TARDIS-morphing operations:
In MANUAL MODE, a menu is offered giving a number of useful functions:
* 7 emitter colour options * Hold Animation * Agent scanner
* TARDIS locator * TARDIS caller * TARDIS sender * TARDIS cloaking
* RLV functions (see below) * User action interface * Multi-channel listener
In addition, the screwdriver features:
* Flameball thrower * Lifeline thrower
and the Sunglasses have:
* 4 Lens transparency settings *An eject avatar from land function (subject to LSL conditions)
The TARDIS functions operate on all the TARDIS models (see Related Items). The user action interface allows you to activate your own scripted objects on your own chosen channel. The additional RLV functions give you the ability to walk through walls & other solid objects, and the ability to walk on walls & ceilings.
In MORPHING MODE, when prepared as below the devices will enable transformation between any of the 3 TARDIS forms A, B & C. One or the other is therefore essential to the operation of the TARDIS chameleon circuit. The transformation process preserves all the common settings of the first form (e.g. particles, hum), and can be repeated any number of times. The owner initiates the process from the settings menu of the TARDIS in use, while wearing the sonic device. This triggers the animation, followed by the genuine sound-effect with a colour-coded particle beam directed at the TARDIS which morphs after about 2 seconds. To make use of this facility you must ideally have at least two TARDIS products, but if not you can use any different modified versions of the TARDIS that you have prepared, provided that they have the strings 'TARDIS-A', 'TARDIS-B' and/or 'TARDIS-C' included in their names.
