"In heaven there was war, Michael and his angels to fight the dragon. The dragon and his angels fought, but they could not keep, and they lost their place in heaven. He was overthrown, the great dragon, that ancient serpent called the devil or Satan, who deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and with him his angels were thrown down. "
In the apocryphal first Book of Enoch (1:20) Michael is named as the fourth of the seven archangels and patron of Israel as "merciful and longsuffering" means (2,40). God in verse 1.11 Michael charged with the fallen angels Semjasa and bind his entourage "for 70 generations" to destroy the "spirits of the wicked" and "all violence and impurity to wipe it off the ground." He also lays the oath Aqae that contains the secrets of creation, in his hands (2.69). Michael also acts as a leader and teacher of Enoch, and shows him among other things, the tree of life (1.24) and "all the secrets of mercy and justice, (...) all the secrets of heaven, and all containers of all the stars and lights" (2.70).
Michael also plays a central role in the apocryphal Apocalypse of Moses. So he brings about multiple messages from God to Adam and his son Seth (3.2, 13.2). After Michael blows the trumpet line 22.1 to the court of God on sinful Adam. Michael, it is also, after the Adam brings to God's command in the "third heaven" (37:4) and then adds with linen and ointment (40.1). Later he helps Seth at the funeral of his mother Eva (43.1).
