Wear both of the enclosed staves. One is worn on the back, and one is worn in your hand, which allows you to switch between a drawn and sheathed position.
When staff is drawn, clicking on the staff brings up a menu that allows you to activate and change particle effect colors, toggle the built in walking AO, and sheath the staff.

no matter what AO you use the staff is held right in front of the face, and you can't even rotate it, because then it clips through your hand and doesn't look good. If I could I'd immediately refund this.
