Starbase Fringe Science Laboratories [30 prims] Version 1
Starbase Fringe Science Laboratories
[30 prims]
Are you ready to experience the Fringe Science Research laboratory? All the work undertaken here is classified as ultra-top secret. The Fringe Science Division investigates some of the weirdest & strangest phenomenon ever encountered. And now, YOU'RE the one in charge. (Don't tell Walter)
The module has a unique hexapod design with an entrance bay. Each of the five other bays are capable of containing a laboratory space with its own attachment point for any Fringe laboratory you choose to use. There's a huge circular glass window at the end of each lab space & the entrance to the Labs has a massive top-hinged hatch door that swings upwards on touch or chat-command. You can lock it so only the owner has access. Inside there's a large central floor area that leads to each of the five separate laboratory spaces. The lights in the ceiling can be turned on or off by touching them. There are also background sound effects if you listen carefully.
You Decide What Goes Where:
You're in charge, so you get to decide what research takes place & where the labs go. You get 8 fully equipped labs to install. There are five bays so you'll have to decide which ones to install and in which bays to put them. At the end of each lab is a small wall-mounted magnetic plate. Rez one of the labs & touch the lab's magnetic circular plate. Then touch the plate at the end of the bay & the lab will self-install along with all its working parts. You can change them around at any time or pull a lab out & replace it with another. You can even rez two Fringe hexapod labs & have 10 lab bays to play with.
This module integrates seamlessly with all the Exosphere Starbase Modules, but is equally at home on a sim's planet's surface.
The Fringe Science Research labs.
Each of the 8 labs comes with a full-featured equipment & a magnetic plate so you can attach it to a rear bay wall. We've included a spare lab base so you can design your own lab. Just make sure that the root prim remains the root prim.
Here's what you get included with the labs:
Necrobiology Lab: 16 prims
The study of life after death. Or possibly, zombies. You get dead body under a sheet on a trolley, some handy reference wall-mounted charts, a human skeleton (on a stick) & a mesh dissecting table with a wash pipe. There's samples of unknown skeletons & dead body parts visible in boxes around the shelves & a powerful computer to analyse it all. But be aware that something may still be alive in that tray of squrming green slime under the dissecting table...
Dark Matter Lab: 7 prims
This is the strange substance that may be the secret power source of the universe. You get a large Dark Matter Containment Unit with a glowing, pulsing core. There's a workbench & a couple of animated display on the wall monitoring the core & running a video of the core's stability.
Cryptozoology Lab:12 prims
This is the study of hidden & unknown life forms. Rare fossils are mounted on the wall & there's even a paralysed dinosaur in a glass case in the corner. There's a mesh dissection table with a couple of adjustable poses. Just touch & sit and be prepared to receive the probes.
Bio-Weapons Lab: 11 prims
Here you'll find dangerous bio-weapons & species-destroying viruses. We have several canisters of deadly substances. There's even a toxic pathogen delivery system encased in a protective glass frame. (Looks like a gun to me)
Parallel Worlds Lab: 5 prims
The Fringe Science Division have managed to create a link between our world & another parallel world. Unfortunately, one of the crew members is caught between the two worlds! You can see them sliding in & out of existence as they fall through the tunnel. There's an animated display on a plasma panel on the side wall, showing attempts to communicate with the lost crew member. Good luck with that!
Time Portal Lab: 6 prims
Fringe scientists have managed to create an artificial wormhole in the very fabric of time. You can see the enclosed wormhole twisting & squirming inside the force field. We've included particle effects, moving textures & light effects and a wall-mounted video of the insides of the warping wormhole.
Quantum Storage Lab: 7 prims
With so much tech equipment required for the labs, the Fringe Division has created a quantum storage unit to miniaturise & store all the lab kit when not in use. You can see containers & storage crates along with a display info-board.
Computer Room Lab: 9 prims
This is where all the weird data is collected & analysed. You get a server stack & a couple of animated computer displays. In the corner there is a powerful processor flicking through strange hieroglyphics. It's all waiting for your RP.
Oh. And did we mention we're including the FREE multi-posed chair you see in the photos?
This module comes with free bulkhead endcaps so you can make this a separate module.
- Unique hexapod module design with 5 lab bays
- Large RP area and startling props; FREE posed chair
- Eight fully-featured Fringe Science Labs
- Custom sliding lockable lab door
- Entrance signage board, Large end-windows
Amazing Builds!
If you're going to live in space, then you must get these products by this creator! The creator has designed some of the best space modules in SL. She thinks of everything! I started off with the Asymetrics lab and I haven't stopped collecting her gear. My space station looks really pro with all the tech. Once I figured out to position using the magnets, things were a lot easier. In every way, her creations are outstanding!
Fun X-Files!
We RP a sci-fi station studying a D&D based planet, so this module was perfect for us.
