Starbase Singularity Core
The Antimatter Chamber is 16 prims
The Singularity Inversion assembly is 12 prims (Part mesh)
Prepare to experience the ultimate power source for your starbase or space station. This module contains a harnessed singularity inversion core contained in an quantum antimatter chamber. It has amazing features, including random glowing and lighting effects, particle coolant, rotating core, and a set of thick mesh cables that pulse with light and color.
Features include:
- Custom Starbase module
- Awesome hi-tech textures
- Lighting and glow effects
- Particle coolant gas
- Technician Station with animated pose
- Pulsing lights in cables
- Low land impact & low lag.
The Antimatter Chamber:
Access is through a specially insulated iris door that opens on touch and then down along a shielded corridor that is pulsing with light. Once inside, you will be in the Antimatter chamber. You will see a bank of data screens covering the walls. The screens flash at random to call your attention to vital statistics. The floor is covered with thick conduits and cables that snake around the flooring ducts, occasionally lighting up with pulses of pure energy. Particle coolant gases oozes through vents in the floor, covering the cables in a soft white mist. This place oozes power.
The Singularity Inversion:
The actual Singularity Inversion core itself is a wonder of science. It is held suspended in a revolving energy field tunnel. The core radiates with beams and energy particles. You will see the containment field tunnel rippling with arcs of electromagnetic bolts that sweep across its surface as it revolves around the core. The internal computer is built into a hexagonal bench that slowly rotates horizontally. This bench also pulses with random energy patterns and colours. You can control ANY of the systems rotation - just turn it on or off by touching it.
The Singularity Inversion internal assembly include the mesh cables, the pedestal control base, the rotating hexagonal panel and the singularity particle effects. There are all set on a Magno-Bolt plate, which means you can easily attach it to the anchor point in the chamber by touching the plates. Or, of course, you can just use the Antimatter chamber and install your own equipment.
Technician Work Station:
At the end of the walkway is a computer screen and a keyboard. If you touch either of these, you will trigger the animated post that shows you tapping the screen and the keyboard. The pose is adjustable and remembers up to 5 different avi positions.
Antimatter Chamber External Features:
The Antimatter Chamber is richly textured inside and outside and has that "deep dead space" feel to it. There is a viewing port in the back of the Antimatter Chamber so that a visual inspection can take place from outside without the technicians having to enter the chamber. On the top of the unit is a emitter pulse relay that propagates the energy to all the other parts of your starbase. You should see it light up as it cycles through its charge and discharge phases.
This unit can form the heart of your sci fi RP. It can be guarded and protected as a vital strategic defence point, and it also makes it a vulnerable place to focus your attacks on if you intend to take control of the base.
The Antimatter chamber has a Magno-Bolt anchor plate set in the rear, so you can attach the internal assembly by simply touching the plates.
This module comes with free bulkhead end caps so you can make this into a separate stand-alone module, or you can join it to others to form a larger base. All the Exosphere starbase modules can easily be joined together by simply touching their bulkhead door frames. They'll move themselves into place and align themselves automatically.
- Moving core with energy pulses, lighting effects
- Technician Station with animated pose
- Particle effects, electrical discharges, lights, glows...
- Working door - touch to operate
- Pulsing lights in mesh cables
Great product for beginner builders...
I can only say how happy I am with the entire line of product...Please feel free to post this as a general comment on the entire line...Easy assembly and re-texturing (now that I have learned how) Made this an excellent buy I plan on getting more as my sim activity increases....Thanks again for the great customer service as well...
Another fine build
I love this module, it may be small but what do you want? An engineroom the size of the one in the new Trek Movies? al in all I think this maks a VERY good addition to any Station. I may have rated it 5 Stars but I would give it 100 if I could
Not my favorite from this maker.
This is a nice enough looking module. It gives the feeling of using an advanced tech item in a lower tech build. The texturing is good. Bear in mind that the prim count of 16 is for the outer structure only. The actual power core (a magbolt addition) adds another 12. The outer structure could be re-purposed for other uses. The singularity core is also small enough to be used elsewhere as well. Unfortunately, I can't give this one the high rating I have for all the other modules I've bought from this maker.
This module is small. More than two in it at once would start to feel crowded. The singularity generator itself is even smaller. Unlike the plasma core module which feels rather imposing and looks like something that could power a large station, this could be mistaken for a futuristic chandelier if not for the control panel and cables all over the floor. I'm modding one for use in a medium size freight ship and it won't be oversized. There are limited special effects that can be activated. Pretty much just rotation on and off. The floating console in midair just looks strange and the built in pose ball always put my legs in a weird position (on several AV's). The occasionally glowing cables don't really connect to anything that looks like it's collecting power from the core. The spinning hexagonal cylinder looks more steampunk than high tech. Finally there's the price. This is one of the high price tier items from this maker and to be frank doesn't really deliver the feature level, utility, or RP possibilities that other modules that I've purchased at that price point do. It's certainly not twice as good as the other two power core modules. The plasma core could easily command the higher price. This one just seems a little bland. Definitely see one inworld before deciding on this one.
