Animated Laser Surgeon robot, mesh data screens and posed hi-tech gurneys.

Has someone been attacked by a chest-hugger? Have alien tentacles penetrated deep into their tissues? Do they need an emergency operation? You're going to need to get them down to the Surgery Unit before it's too late! The Starbase surgery unit is an ultra hi-tech environment for emergency operations and treatment. It comes with lockable, sliding automatic doors, sound effects, lights, poses, and an amazing animated robot surgeon, complete with fully-operating surgical precision lasers and light effects!

This unit is great for your Sci Fi Role Play.

Features include:
- High-tech surgery unit
- Automatic sliding doors (lockable)
- Animated textures (lots)
- Sound generator (10 surgery tech sounds)
- All round panoramic views
- Plenty of room to cam around and RP.

Free accessories:
- Tech hospital gurneys (posed) [1 prim]
- Laser Surgery Bot (animated) [16 prims]
- Entrance Information Display Screens [4 prims]

The Unit has a automatic-opening bulkhead iris door entrance that leads into the outer reception area, where you'll find the mesh Information Display screens. There's two large sliding doors that will slide open (on touch or when approached) that separate the outer area from the actual operating theatre. There's a control unit with animated textures in the Operating Area and an attachment point so you can set up the Robot Surgeon with just a single click.

You may want to lock down when you start to operate so the Surgery access doors can be locked or unlocked (just long-press them and it will confirm the action).

The large central column has panels of slowly pulsing lights that show the Surgery Data Bank is fully working. It also houses the sound effects, which brings the place to life and makes occasional subtle hi-tech noises give the aural ambiance of a working area.

Sound Generator:
The sound generator is inside the Central Column. It has 10 hi-tech surgery sounds and has menu-driven volume and frequency controls, so you can set them as you want them, or turn them off.To access it, touch the upper wall of the central column that faces into the main entrance and you'll get the Sound Generator menu.

Tech Hospital Gurneys:
The "Gurneys" are correct name for the beds on wheels. You can place them anywhere, but there are a couple of Monitoring Stations inside the Surgery that are set out with equipment. Simply rez them on the base of a Monitoring Station and align them. Then, sit on a bed.to get a menu. The "waiting" pose will allow you to ready yourself for getting in the bed. Use the "On Bed" pose to lie on it. Use the "waiting" pose again, to get up without jumping out of bed!

Laser Surgery Robot:
At the rear is the Magno-Bolt plate on which you can attach the Laser Surgery Robot. You remember that bit in the Alien film Prometheus? This is a similar unit that can perform fast, emergency operations. There are two high intensity lasers set on the ends of the precision metal arms that will move around during the operation. The glass cover can be rotated out of the way by simply touching it, or you can leave it in place if you want to as the Surgery Robot is clever enough to avoid hitting the cover with the lasers. Get someone to sit on the unit and choose "on Bed" from the menu. (Of course, you can operate on yourself, too). Then to start the lasers, stand back a little and type the command "operate" in chat. The arms will swing around over the top of the unit and lower themselves into place. The lasers will move and fire several times as the arms reposition themselves during the Operation cycle. Once the delicate surgery is done, the arms will retract and swing the lasers back up into their original position. This is so cool to watch and even cooler to be mouse-looking from the patient's point of view!

All the Exosphere starbase modules can easily be joined together by simply touching their bulkhead door frames. They'll move themselves into place and align themselves automatically. This module comes with free bulkhead end caps so you can make this into a separate stand-alone module, or you can join it to others to form part of a larger base.

  • High-tech surgery unit, Bulkhead sliding door, Entrance Hall
  • Sliding, lockable doors to Surgery area
  • Sound generator, animated textures
  • Tech hospital gurneys (posed)
  • FREE accessories: Laser Surgery Bot (animated)

I'm very happy with these products from this friendly maker who was ready to help me at once with a couple of questions and even wishes I had in mind. Prompt, friendly service indeed! :)

Good looks and textures, nice details, low prim, affordable price and modular design are the key factors that make these products my favourites for my sci-fi needs!

Highly recommended!!! 10 stars out of 5!!! :)))

Just when you think think that the Exosphere line is complete they continue to push the limits of their (and your) imagination.

Expand your space station medical section's capabilities with the addition of this Surgical Unit module; it is sure to be the perfect addition to any medical role-play scenario you might want to engage it. The included surgical robot alone makes this module a must have and is perfect for use in anything from repairing post battle injuries to crew to assisting in alien experimentation on crew should your station be captured.

Amazing craftsmanship, as is the hallmark of the entire Exosphere line, and with all modules granting mod permission you can customize them to make them uniquely your own.

I own many/most of the product offerings in this line and enthusiastically recommend them all. Keep up the great work Exosphere; can't wait to see what you have in store for us next.
