Still the best summer house in SL
The last review of this summer house was in 2019, and it's now the end of Aug 2021. I looked everywhere for a reasonably sized, low land impact summer house that actually looked like a classic summer house. There were some nice products but they were over 40 LI, and then there were the products that looked like greenhouses calling themselves summer houses. There was one that came close to this but Dorian's mesh wins because it is the proper shape, beautifully made and rendered and a fantastic low 22 LI. It should be twice as much as he's charging for it based on the outrageous prices designers wanted for something that you're actually going to decorate anyway and I appreciate the money saved for that. I agree wholly with the previous review in terms of practicability, size, tinting and the rest so I haven't added to that.
Gorgeous & versatile! Thank you!
Beautiful building that has multiple uses! The house by default has an 11m x 8m footprint (<7.69500, 10.87800, 5.77000> minus the pointy corner ornaments on the roof; X and Y being the widest/longest part of the roof and Z including the .05m extra foundation beneath the building.) So, it's small enough to fit most anywhere, but its large enough to feel comfortable hanging out inside of it. The ceiling painted to look like a cloudy blue sky is a really nice touch. I was worried at first when recoloring by using "Select Face" because the walls on the inside -and- the outside are the same face. But since this build is Modify, I was able to link 3 more objects (2-tri. plane, mesh squares) to the building without raising the land impact at all! Still 22 LI with 3 more plane meshes linked to it! Now, I can tint or retexture the inside walls without changing the outside. :) Thank you for such a pretty little, customizable, building.
