<TA>Busy Beach Dock

The Busy Beach Dock sits two and allows them to…

• Fish
• Hang out
• Cuddle
• Sunbathe
• Eat and drink
• Sleep

This was built having in mind a couple spending all day hanging out on the dock. Hop on the dock, pick one of the sequences, and you are free to chat away, or even leave your avatar while you attend to matters IRL!

In all, there are, combined, 64 male and female poses. There are 23 ADDITIONAL couple poses.

When no one is using the dock, all of the props derez. They rez only when someone is using the poses. (See LI below)

One of the props is a dock light. It is scripted to come on at sunset and go off at sunrise. It has a menu you can activate by touching the light prim to change colors, radius, etc. Your changes will be cleared when the prop derezzes. It is auto on and off, so you need not (and cannot) turn it on or off.

There are two texture versions. The original build was for a remote area, so it is dark and grungy. We wanted a cleaner version to go with our other docks at The Redux, so it was re-textured to lighter wood planks which matches a tone of many locations in SL.

Whereas, this build is intended to facilitate role playing daily life, it includes sequences for…

• Fishing
• Dips in the water
• Sleeping (2 X couple, 1 male, 1 female)
• Tanning
• Cuddles
• Chilling out

It also includes 4 LONG "Busy" sequences built around the idea of a day on the dock fishing. If you have ever been dock fishing you'll find this a good reflection of a typical day—fishing (of course), stretching, eating, drinking, napping… and for the couples, some cuddles!

The sequences are organized into four categories:

• Couples involving being in the water
• Couples without being in the water (e.g. winter fishing)
• Platonic involving being in the water
• Platonic without being in the water

About the "Busy Sequences" names:

"F" is friends (platonic)
"C" is couples
"W" includes water
"D" stays dry.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

(1) The plate of food that they eat with their fingers has what the creator intended to be a small steak. This begs for a little imagination… or good teeth!

(2) If one of the sitters gets up, the props derez. The remaining sitter will have to "BACK" out and pick a sitter position to rerez them.

(3) Though built for both sitters, the sequences will work for one avatar. Pick a "Friends" sequence or you'll be cuddling with… nothing!

(4) The two masculine lean poses assume a slope of the lake/ocean floor. Of course, not all floors slope the same. Almost certainly, you'll have to adjust them.

LAND IMPACT

Dock: 3 LI

When you "sit" it temp-rezzes the dock props adding (until you stand) up to 9 LI.

INSTALLATION

Rez the dock and put the posts out in the water. Hop on (if possible, get a male sized avatar—item 3 below) to rez the props.

1. Position the no-post end of the dock so that it is on the beach or attached to another dock so that the light is not obstructed.

2. Lower it until the BOTTOM OF THE DOCK just barely touches THE SURFACE OF THE WATER.

3. Have your masculine avatar (Tall member of the couple.) take the treading water pose. Now, select the 2Lean2 pose. Adjust the dock position deeper or shallower (or adjust the lake/ocean floor) until the feet touch (unless you don't care about that sort of thing).

4. Done!

The in-the-water end of the dock should be in water that is just deep enough to tread water. The side of the dock away from the fishing poles has poses where the masculine avatar is standing on the bottom. You might have to use the "Adjust" option to sort poses out.

IMPORTANT: AVsitter positions the poses measured from the center of the dock. If you should attempt to change the size of the dock, the poses will be off. If you need the dock to be further out in the water, There is an item called "Extra Dock" that you can use in combination with the Busy Dock. KEEP IN MIND that resizing the Extra Dock" will affect the texturing, so write down the numbers on each face BEFORE so you can reference them later.
