Another fantastic home from Cain Maven. I was floored, and made an impulse buy! Happy to write the first review.

I noticed the Allegro when returning to the Maven marketplace store to review the Barcelona and Vita, two houses I own, use, and love.

At first sight the Allegro struck me as an evolution of the Vita. It takes a lot of design cues from it, and the general floor plan, with two wings forming an L, and the swimming pool area inside the L, ideally placed for a beach corner plot. It's also exactly the same price as an unfurnished Vita.

So did I want to change? Is the Allegro a Vita killer?

Not so sure. It depends on buyer priorities.

The main difference is size. Reading dimensions on webpages is fine, but it's only when I rezzed the Allegro right above the Vita that I realised how tiny it looks in comparison. And yet, it feels more spacious inside. Why? Well, all the glass surfaces help, and there is an extra room because on the Allegro both wings are two floors high, vs just one wing on the Vita.

I consider this an advantage, because it means more space outside, around the house, to enjoy more beach space and more clearance from neighbouring parcels.

Another BIG advantage is the huge roof terrace, where the Vita's weakest point was the undersized balconies. Along with the glass, this makes the Allegro a little brother to the balcony king Barcelona, and comparable to the Wakefield in terms of airiness.

There are lovely design touches like the brass parts on the roof terrace railings, clear wood, new bar stools.

It loses some things compared to the Vita. For one thing there is no car garage. It also loses some curviness, and the organic, solid and, if that matters to you, imposing look. From outside the L it's a bunch of cubes. It's better from pool side. There is also no obvious slot for a web TV, unlike in the Vita main bedroom.

Overall though, the positives outweigh the negatives. I will remove my Vita, and replace it with the Allegro. Highly recommended, but also check Vita and Wakefield, or Barcelona if you have the space and Lindens.
