these cars were BIG and Gaudy and BIG!
this is 1949 Merc that has been sectioned horizontally ( notice the doors are more narrow) and sectioned vertically(notice the body isn't as thick vertically) and after all that it got a chopped top! the finishing touch was highly custom tail lights. All the body work was finished and smoothed with a bar of lead using a torch and a wooden paddle ,by hand. This is where the term "lead sled" originated from.
the car has a unique "Paint Job" . It also has a color hud to further enhance and alter the appearance .
