If ordinary rainbow trails don't quite cut it, how about ones that are totally trippy and groovy? The trails warp the colors of everything caught inside them for some shiny goodness. You can even tinker with the trail appearance for a more personal touch!

The trails use the new particle options to actually appear as a 3D ribbon, so a new viewer is required to fully appreciate the effect.

Don't forget to check out the classic Rainbow Trails or elemental Trails, see below in related items!

Updated 2014-10-03: caught up in features to version 3 of the original Rainbow Trails! Lots of new options!

PLEASE NOTE: These trails are VERSION 3 and do not come with a HUD or support the HUD of the v4 trails. This will change eventually, but as is they are a budget version!

Contents:

2) You can make additional copies of the objects and attach them to any point you wish, just remember to move and turn them to the right angle using the edit tool afterwards
3) See below how to configure the effect

How to use (script):
1) Rez the object on the ground
2) Open the build window and switch to the Content tab
3) Drag the script into the tab and you're good to go, pick up the object
4) See below how to configure the effect

Configuration commands:
The script is controlled and configured through chat commands. Type them into local chat to use them.
/777sync
This command syncs all rainbow trails you have attached to the same color

/777size X Y
This command sets the trail's size; X is the starting size, Y is the end. Sizes are given in meters, so use decimals to get smaller sizes. For example, "/777size 0.1 2" makes a trail that starts thin and widens to 2 meters before fading away.

/777length X
This command sets the trail's length in seconds. You can use decimals if you wish more precision. For example, "/777length 2.5" makes a trail that fades away in 2.5 seconds.

/777texture X
This command sets the trail's texture. There are 3 built-in textures available, and you can also use the UUID of any texture you like if you want to use a custom one. For example, "/777texture 1" sets the built-in texture 1 (twin stripes), and "/777 texture 4ade7119-dfb9-1c70-3d0a-350a708d1a44" sets a custom texture. To get a texture UUID, right-click a full-perm texture in your inventory and choose "Copy asset UUID" and then paste it into the command.

/777reset
In case you've messed something up, you can start over and reset the trail with this command.

I can't believe this was only L$10! You can customize the particles VERY easily AND you can rip the script out and put it in your own objects? -Now how cool is that?! Yay! Thank you so very much! :)

These things create trails of rainbows that have a bizarre XOR-ish filter to them that's hard to describe and I have -no- idea how they do it. It's wizardry, and only 10L! GET IT!
