Vehicle Guardian Script - Protect your vehicle from autoreturn Version 1.1

The Vehicle Guardian Script!

This product summons a bot (an alt which you create and run with free SecondBot software on your PC) to protect your vehicle while you are gone. I made this for myself, but it's good enough to share.

Have you ever been sailing, flying or driving around, and wanted to leave you vehicle to explore on foot? Your vehicle will likely end up in your lost and found folder if you do, when the parcel auto-return kicks in. Not any more!

Now, with the Vehicle Guardian, just summon your bot at the click of a button. It will sit on the vehicle allowing you to stand up walk around. Because the vehicle is still sat on, it cannot be auto-returned and will still be waiting for you when you return from you explorations. You can then dismiss your Guardian, back to his or her home.

This can be used with most vehicles that take passengers; yachts, motorboats, helicopters, aeroplanes, cars...whatever.

The Vehicle Guardian Script is very simple to set up and use. If you are sat on your vehicle, pressing the Summon button teleports your bot to you, and sits in on the vehicle. The Dismiss button sends it back home (wherever you have set) after you have seated again to take over.

The Script uses only a tiny amout of resources and low memory, so should have no noticeable impact on your vehicles performance.

PLEASE NOTE: This product NEEDS the free SecondBot software installed on your PC (or any internet-connected PC). SecondBot is a very low impact software that allows you to log in an ordinary alt account. It has no graphics and no real controls, that's what makes the alt a 'bot', but it can be controlled from a script. SecondBot is freely downloadable, you can google it and it is in the SL bot wiki. I have no connection with SecondBot except as a long-time user and scripter and can only offer support specific to my product's needs. SecondBot is *very* easy to set up and use, really, it's much easier than setting up a viewer. I have included instructions.

PLEASE check that your vehicle allows a passenger to sit on the vehicle by right-clicking anywhere on it and selecting Sit, and can remain seated when you stand up. You can get a friend to do this for you. As long as they can stay sat on the vehicle with you gone, and you can come back and take control again, this product should work fine. It works on all of mine (boats, aircraft and cars) that allow passengers, but just check first. You can always ask me if you need help with this.

Of course, your vehicle must have mod permission to add the script.
