Do some realistic cycling in SL! Introducing a 100% custom bicycle script that simulates rider fatigue and recovery! Custom sounds and great sim crossing. Resizer built in. 16LI
~~~~Riding The Bike~~~~~
This is a pedal-powered bicycle! It works like a normal SL vehicle EXCEPT it simulates the loss of endurance as you ride faster. The power zones correlate to real-world zones in the following way:
Zone 1 : Active Recovery -slowest speed and greatest recovery of energy
Zone 2 : Endurance - medium slow speed and moderate recovery of energy
Zone 3 : Tempo - medium fast speed and neutral to slight loss of energy
Zone 4 : Threshold - fast speed and moderate loss of energy
Zone 5 : Max Aerobic - faster speed and large loss of energy
Zone 6 - Anaerobic - very fast speed and very fast loss of energy
Zone 7 - Peak Sprint - max speed and max loss of energy
Energy is represented by FRESHNESS:
Freshness (0 to 100) = positive (full power)
Freshness (-100 to 0) = negative (75% power)
Freshness (-100 or less) = very tired (50% power)
In order to recover freshness you need to slow down! The slower you go, the faster you recover.
~~~~~Notes on Editing~~~~~~
This bike is mod, and as such, can be edited and changed with the following caveats:
Be sure to have an unedited copy of your bike. You never know whether an edit will break the bike!
BUILT-IN RESIZER can be accessed by clicking the handlebar (only when the rider is off!)
Note - scaling down will affect the turning ability due to physics shapes.
ONLY USE BUILT-IN-RESIZER to scale the bike! I have coded all of the moving parts to work with it!
The resizer has a RESTORE function that will return the bike to 1.0 scale. It also has *SC-RESET* which will reset the resizer script. Do NOT reset the resizer script unless the bike is at 1.0 scale!
To do a LINKSET EDIT (adding or removing prims) follow these steps:
1. orient the bike to zero rotation at all axes
2. make certain the bike is at 1.0 scale! (use resizer RESTORE if necessary)
3. perform all linkset edits and be sure to set everything with the pos and rot you want.
4. Once all edits are done, reset the resizer script by clicking the rollbar and choosing *SC-RESET*.
5. Then rename and take new bike to inventory. DO NOT SIT or operate until you re-rezz it!
