Vintage Phonograph Set / Record Player
The TBF Phonograph pack includes a phonograph (LI=4), a table (LI=1), two chairs (LI=2 each), and a collection of phonograph record boxes (LI=1 each).
The phonograph can be operated by clicking on it and using the dialog window accordingly. It has most of the options that a modern music player provides, Start, Stop, Pause, Rewind, Previous, Next, Shuffle. In addition, the option Pick can be selected, which will produce a list of clickable song titles in Local Chat. These titles are only clickable in a dedicated Local Chat window, not on the main screen.
Also, the music and crackling effect volumes can be changed or silenced independently, and both musical particles and announcing the next song in Local chat can be turned on or off. Changing the phonograph's music content is discussed in the second section of this document.
As a final feature, the owner can set access to operating the phonograph to Owner-only, Group members-only or Everyone.
The TBF Phonograph Chairs are provided with the TBF Posy system, which allows using quick and convenient avatar repositioning and rotation by using keyboard arrow keys. More detailed instructions are provided in a separate Posy instructions notecard.
Each notecard inside the phonograph contains a song, or, more precisely, a list of UUIDs, each of which represents a 10-second sound fragment. The phonograph plays the fragments consecutively, thereby generating a continuous stream of in-world music. There are two ways to change the musical content of the TBF Phonograph:
First, the notecards inside the phonograph can be removed manually, by right-clicking the object and selecting Edit. In the Content tab in the Edit panel, a list of notecards will appear that can be selected, copied to your inventory, or deleted. Other music notecards can be moved from your inventory into the contents panel of the phonograph. Note that these notecards have to adhere to the format required, i.e. containing a list of music UUIDs.
Second, the musical content of the TBF Phonograph can simply be changed by rezzing a TBF Phonograph Record Box within 10 meter distance of the phonograph and then by clicking on this record box. Subsequently, the phonograph will ask for conformation for its contents to be replaced by the contents in the record box, which will then be done automatically. Note that only the owner of the phonograph is able to change its content in this way.

I've had another Gramophone, from a different maker, for many years. That one played multiple records, but each record was a repeating loop, just 20-30 seconds in length. I'd spent thousands trying to collect all the records for it (they came in Gacha sets).
I loved that one in my little garden greenhouse, converted to a small tinker's workshop and relaxation space. But even with all the money I'd spent. I would almost never play it.. because after a minute, that same looping music just got annoying.
Enter: The Black Forest's Vintage Phonograph Player.
This thing is just fantastic. They're not kidding when they day "Over 3 hours of Classical Music".. 9 parts of Don Giovanni, by Mozart, Acts 1-4 of Swan Lake in 6 parts, and another 6 pieces of Classical Piano.
The difference between this Gramophone and the old one is just night and day. Adjustable crackle volume (you can turn it entirely off if you want), Optional Shuffle mode, "Announce" mode where the title of each track is whispered in local chat.. and with an hour of playing so far, I've rarely heard even the tiniest gap in the playback.
Like just about everything else at The Black Forest, this is nigh criminally under priced for what it is. Custom meshes and textures, modifiable models, very likely hundreds of sound files, expert scripting as always, and a special surprise for modders.
The record boxes are full permissions, with included textures for making your own. The notecards inside are also full-perms, inviting the purchaser to make their own music sets for this machine, to share with others.
And we haven't even gotten to the perfectly lovely table, and chair included in this set!
This set is an absolute bargain, even if you just want it as a prop. The table and chair would make for a lovely support for any of TBF's board games too.
Amazing!
As always! I would love to get more music for the phonograph too. This would be wonderfull! ♥♥♥
