The -Virtual Decay- Department of corrections is a large scale build set by -Virtual Decay-
It consists of a number of buildings that can be used as stand alone, or linked to another compatible building from the series. When you buy a part of the prison you will receive two versions of that building. either the stand alone build or the linkable build. They are 98% identical. the stand alone versions just have an entrance added.
Statistics:

Permissions: Modify / copy on all prim work - copy only on scripts.
Prim count: 117 for the linkable version, 121 for the stand alone version
Footprint: approx 20 x 60 meters
Script usage: 25 scripts using approximately 0.04 ms
textures: all textures are custom made and mapped where possible. maximum texture size is 512 x512

Box Contents:

Inside the box you will find a copy of this notecard, a copy of the avatar key finder, and two versions of the cell block D.
-Virtual Decay- CellBlock D V 1.0 -L and -Virtual Decay- CellBlock D V 1.0 -SA where the SA stands for stand alone, and L for linked.

I have also included a set of affiliate vendors. This will let you sell the prisoner outfits straight from your own prison.
these vendors come in 3 preset sizes, and are copyable. you will receive 15% of each sale. after the Hippo Commission.

Cell-block D.

Features:

This marvelous structure can accommodate 16 single inmates in their own cell.
All doors are scripted and can only be operated by someone the owner of the prison has given permission to do so, see operations on how to add someone.
To operate the cell doors, you must use the central cell door unlocking mechanism panel, located on the lower level. You can not operate individual cell doors,
you are operating all the doors on one level, left or right side.
Looking at the cell door unlocking mechanism, you will notice the status led's are all green. this means all doors are closed and the situation is safe and secure.
When you press one of the door buttons, a warning sound will be heard twice, and the doors will open. The status led will change to red. As soon as a prisoner
has been secured inside, press the button again to close the doors. Again the warning sound will sound to warn inmates to stand back,
the doors will close, changing the status led back to green.
The doors leading out of the cell-block are also operated by a panel. Depending on the version you have rezzed, the double doors will lead you to the reception area, or to the outside.
like the cell doors, when pressed the warning sounds will sound, and the doors will open, changing the door status led's to red, these large doors also have a large light
above the door to warn for the potential escape risk when these doors are opened.

How to add people to the Security list ?

To enable someone to operate the Jail doors and the entrance door to the cell-block, you need to add the person's UUID key to the note card in the root prim of the cell-block.
right click the cell-block, select edit and go to the contents tab. Here you will find a note card called "Security"

By default the owner always is allowed to operate the doors. you can also allow anyone to operate them.
To do this just type "all override" as the first line of text that does not start with "#"
when you want to add additional avatars that can use the doors, you just paste their UUID key under that line.
to get a persons AV key, get them to touch the -Virtual Decay- Avatar Key Finder. You will find this object in the root prim, as well in the box.
the device will whisper the key to them.
Alternatively. the Phoenix viewer shows a persons key right on top of their profile. you can also copy/paste it from there.

Known issues.

It sometimes happens that after clicking the buttons for the double sliding doors multiple times, the light gets out of sync. meaning it will show green with the doors open.
to fix that, make sure all doors are closed. right click the prison building and select "edit". Then go to "Tools", reset scripts in selection.

Like all of my builds, this one too has been textured with all custom work, textures are mapped for low lag and fast rezz.

I started out with the intention of placing a prison on 1/4 of my sim. I'm up to 3/4 of my sim now thanks to the COPY-ability of each component. Excellent, incredibly fast-rezzing unique textures and every imaginable variation is available with each component so that you can go as small or as big as you want. I bought every component piece. Scripts work great, too. I highly recommend.
