You can place this script in any prim to make a visitor counter. As example it is placed in a dance floor but you can use anything you want.
The dance floor has two faces with color changing stars. The floor has modify permission and only 1 prim so you can change it into any shape and resize it. The floor is copyable but not transferable and the color change scripts are copy only.
The included Visitor Counter script has copy and transfer permissions.
When you rez the floor or any object the script is in only the owner can activate it by touching it or typing /4list in local chat.
It is fully menu driven and by using the menu you allow others to handle the script with the same rights as you except from adding or removing users.
From the menu you and the avatars you have permitted can turn the scanner on or off to save lag when it is not needed.
The scanner range can be changed from 1 meter to 100 meters (11 settings) and the rate can be changed from 1 second to 60 seconds (11 settings).
The Visitor list can be displayed and/or deleted.
Furthermore a landmark feature can be turned on and off. When it is on a landmark you have dropped into the same prim as the script will be handed out when somebody there is not on the user list touches the floor.
The menu buttons has markings so it is easy to see which options are chosen.
So all you have to do is to drop the script and eventually a landmark into a prim or rez the dance floor as it is. Touch it and it is ready to use.
