WKS Smart Platform Version 1.0
Details
Most land owners in SL know this situation: You want to rez for example a house high up in the sky but unfortunately you can not see the border lines of your parcel there. This tool is very usefull for that task!
Just rez it (looks like a little red stool) anywhere on your plot, then sit on it and say on channel 302 the wanted altitude for the platform to be rezzed. Then the stool (and you) will move to the center of the parcel at the given altitude and the platform will be rezzed there.
The checkered platform shows you exactly the size and position of your parcel.
Works for any parcel size from 16 up to 65536 square meters - the parcel's outline must be a rectangle!
While sitting on the stool the following commands are available:
move <altitude> - moves platform to new altitude
texture [grass, checker,<UUID>] - Sets the texture of the platform. Repeats texture every 4 meters horizontal and vertical
derez - removes the stool and the platform
save - transforms the stool to a disk and links it to the closest part of the platform; removes all scripts
Object is mod, scripts are no mod
Prim count depends on parcel size:
- 2 prims for 16 sqm
- 17 prims for 65536 sqm
Features
- auto size to parcel size
- auto positioning to parcel center

One of the best, if not the best, tool in Second Life
Thank you so much for the WKS Smart Platform. It's affordable too at L$149. Like many others my parcel is mailnland with neighbors right next to me. The Smart Platform lets me know my (rectangular) parcel's footprint without running around putting marker posts in all 4 corners. It also tells me the XY coordinates for the center of my property without looking at the map and doing the math. Very convenient! The Move feature is also handy for moving the platform up or down depending on your proximity to others. For sealevel builds there is a miimum altitude of 20 m to rez the platform. Not a problem because I can easily just change the Z coordinate. Now I can put rocks and trees down without going over my neighbor's border. Thanks again! This is a great tool!
