This is a replica of a French double harpsichord (two keyboards) after an instrument made by Taskin around 1765. This model is done simply in light birch with fluted legs in a darker wood. The lid is scripted to go up and down, and the soundboard is lavishly painted in period style.
This instrument is also available in a historically accurate black lacquer with gold banding and red interior with Chinoiserie, or in a fanciful royal purple model.
