Walk In Silence, February 2010
Originally part of my installation '8 Stations'. This was at Station 4. With free poster, see image.
For this installation I coupled it with a quotation from Joy Divisions 'Atmosphere'. The butterfly illustrates the fragility of an avatar, "Your Confusion – My Illusion" can death also be virtual now?
Inspired by Andy Warhols print Orange Disaster #5, 1963.
"The empty electric chair, lit up in the penitentiary room where a sign demands SILENCE during the passage from life to death" [From 'Accident Report' by Jean-Jacques Lebel, 8 November 1963]
Essentially the whole piece is Mod and Copy, no Trans. The only part of the art that is no Mod is the script for the butterfly wings. This script is a Puppeteer animation, so if you have this system it may be possible to modify, but why would you? If for any reason the script stops working, rezz out another copy.
Dekka Raymaker, 2017.
N.B.
The color changer script for the screen is in the screen prim.
The sensor sound script is in the seat of the electric chair.
