We at Lili's Yard are big fans of slow travel in Second Life, sailing from A to B the old-fashioned way while savouring the scenery. There are some lovely places to explore out there and if you just teleport around the whole time then you miss so much.
So we designed Wanderer, a little gaff-rigged go-anywhere sailboat with a small outboard motor that's ideal for weekend sailing and exploration. Wanderer carries a sleeping bag on board with a sleeping/relaxing pose and a canopy for over-nighting aboard or mooring up at a weekly rental while you take a stroll around wherever you've found. (We actually do this quite a bit - choose a place, sail to it, take a week's rental there and explore - a virtual vacation role-play during these difficult and travel-restricted real world times.)
In addition to the skipper's seat and the sleeping/relaxing pose there are also three other pose-balls for a group get-together aboard, and as a bonus we've also included the pup-tents from the 'Orinocos and Swifts' pack to enhance the carefree weekend feel (refer over to the User Manual for the 'Orinocos and Swifts' pack for details on using the tents).
INSTRUCTIONS:
If you are wearing an AO (Animation Override) then please ensure it's turned off for the boat's poses and for the sit and sleep poses used with the tents to work correctly.
Use the HUD to raise and lower sails, to turn the motor on and off, and to moor. The keyboard PageUp and PageDown keys change the motor's gears. The keyboard Left and Right arrow keys are used for steering, and the keyboard Up and Down keys trim the sails.

Beautiful, romantic boat for slow explores
Another beautiful boat from Lili. The wood, the sail. the way the light and the scenery shows through the sail, the internal light reflecting off the wood. It's a wonderfully romantic boat. And an adventurous one. It had me thinking Swallows and Amazons and sure enough, the same boat is included in that set (without onboard tent, sleeping bag and light). I was only going to rezz it to have a look and just had to jump in and try it, switching the lighting to default, the evening light looked great on it. I took her for a slow sail down a river and then just kept going out to sea. For slow explores, where you want to see the scenery. There's no autotrim on this but it's easy to trim with the coloured text, you can just jump in and sail. I wanted people to see me in it but there was no-one out sailing - I'll take her on the Blake sea. Did fancy raising the canopy and sleeping by an island mid river but I wanted to get on and try some more. Whereas some boats I've had to fight with, the two I've tried from Lili so far have been lovely. And handles sim crossings well - I should have said that on my other review too. Neither boat has even remotely felt like unseating me. Love it.
Enjoying boat
Lot's of fun using this boat ; works fine and is easy to use. You can sail or just start the motor and explore.
Wanderer Sailboat
Nice little boat sails well and the hud is useful as you set the wind speed and direction from it nice poses too if you like to explore not race this is for you.
