Wind Turbine

The GCD Wind Turbine is 100% Mesh, has high detail weathered texturing with both Blinn-Phong and PBR texturing for extra realism. It features rotating blades and flashing red warning light.

The pack includes two versions of the Wind Turbine.

A HIGH LOD (Level of Detail) version which can be seen at long distance and won't disappear or distort. At a standard height of 20 meters (including propeller) it is 9 prim land impact and this will increase by approximately 1 prim every additional 2 meters you stretch it bigger. (30 meter height = 15 prim land impact)

There is also a LOW LOD version which is just 3 prim land impact at 20 meter height. However this may distort at distance to people with lower graphics settings. This version will increase by approximately 0.5 prims every additional 2 meters you stretch it bigger. (30 meter height = 8 prim land impact)

Just rez the one which better suits your needs and place in position. If you are building a wind farm one option would be to have the high LOD versions at the back and the low LOD versions at the front.

There is also a very simple full perm rotation script inside the propeller so if you do want to adjust the rotation speed you can.
Inside the script there is a line that reads llTargetOmega(<0,1,0>,-1,0.-1);
The first 1 is the speed so just change this to a higher number (up tp 9) and save to make it go faster.
