TO SEE HOW THESE WINGS BEAT, PLEASE TRY THE DEMO VERSION. And if you are not used with scripting and you want something simple, please try the wings for beginners.

These wings are made for object constructions. They are synchronized and made to work in group on an object (like a statue) but can be also used to create wearable staff.

Wings are made of 12 prims each that become invisible or visible, creating the impression that they move. It is possible to make a two-prim wing that will move, but this is highly affected by object rotation (on all 3 axis) and can become really chaotic for an attached object.

The wings communicate inside the prim. If you create them to be worn on an avatar, make sure they are linked into a single object (or they will not communicate).

DESCRIPTION:

Wing 6 AA...AJ are a group of 10 synchronized wings. They beat with the same speed. The difference is that they don't beat in the same time. Each one is in a different moment of its movement.

Wing 6 BA...BJ are another group of 10 synchronized wings. They also beat with the same speed and work exactly like the previous wings. The difference is that they are set on a different speed then the 'AA - AJ' wings.

Wings 6 CA...GA are unsynchronized. They beat independent one from the other.

Dictators are the scripts that control wing movement.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Put the wings you wish into your construction. Link them as you need.

2. Inside any prim of your construction, add the dictators. These scripts actually dictate the wings how to move. Add only the dictators that you need for your wings. For example, if you use only wings from AA to AJ series, use only 'Wing Dictator A1'.

3. Open the dictator scripts. There, you will see on the 2nd row, something like this:

float time = 0.1;

This is the time needed for the wing to move. Adjust time to the value you need. Please, don't use a too small number, the wing might not work correctly.

POSSIBLE PROBLEMS

The system might support a very high number of synchronized wings (series AA - AJ) but will not work well with too many unsynchronized wings. Too many dictators inside an object will start making problems. With other words, the system will work well with a single dictator but will fail with all 7.

Since wings are script-animated, they will fail working in 'no script' places.
