Wingsong Fish Tank V2 Box

One of the first (of MANY) pets I got when I became a Second Life citizen was a free goldfish in a bowl. I always admired him very much, although he was only a single prim, curved like he had that spinal disease gold fish get sometimes, and only swam around in a circle. Plus, he had no perms; I've lost him more than once and had to run back over to the store I got him from to get a new one.

I decided early on that I wanted to make a quality goldfish. I've made a few fish over the years but never made a goldfish in a bowl or tank that I was really pleased with. Until now.

The Wingsong Fish Tank V2 is really quite nice. And it comes with a FREE Wingsong Roaming Fish - Goldfish (2 prims) as well as a FREE Wingsong Fish Tank Backdrop (1 prim). More about these in a minute. First, the tank:

FEATURES and HOW TO USE

1 - REZ your Wingsong Fish Tank V2. The base unit is only 3 prims.

2 - Click on the base of the tank to toggle a gentle surf audio on and off.

3 - Click on the lid for an ambient light.

4 - Click on the side of the tank to open the lid. Click on it again to close it.

5 - The water texture on the side of the tank rotates gently for a sense of realism.

FISH and BACKDROP

Here's where the lid becomes REAL important. To install your backdrop and fish you want to open your lid, just like in real life. Again, click on the side of the tank to open and close the lid. With the lid open, REZ your fish and/or backdrop into the tank and position using your MOVE tool in the EDIT menu. Set your fish down as close to the center of your tank as possible.

Your Wingsong Roaming Fish (THIN) - Goldfish included in this package is one of several we make; this is the smallest and has a range of only 1.5 meters. He has a really nice roaming engine that has him swimming around randomly. And although he is "only a flat fish," (alpha texture on a single prim), he has been meticulously configured with flexiness to add a real sense of life, swimmability, and animation.

With your lid open, click on your backdrop for an onboard menu to change the texture. I've preinstalled 16 textures. You can add your own (maximum total 22 textures allowed) by dragging textures from your inventory to the backdrop's Content Tab.
