Wingsong Ice Skating Rink Box

With all the skating products we make at the Wingsong Dojo we are sometimes asked, "So how come you have never made an ice skating rink?"

Well, we sort of already have two. Our Wingsong Holodeck: Seasons and Wingsong Microcosm: Winter can both be configured into winter wonderlands with ice rinks with the push of a few buttons. But they're both designed for the sky.

The reason we haven't built a stand alone skating rink up to now is that there are so many excellent ones already out there. But one they thing don't have that we do - original Wingsong animations!

We get alot of really great feedback about our skating animations. They are all hand made in our shop and while we do very rarely sell them on a case by case basis, they are for the most part exclusive to Wingsong builds.

So we put our heads together to see if we could come up with something a little unique rather than just the rather common albeit quite nice ice rinks. Here's what we came up with:

The Wingsong Ice Skating Snowball Rink! It reminds me a little of a merry-go-round, except instead of sitting on pretty horses that go up and down on a pole you are animated with a fun Wingsong skating animation. There is a large snow ball in the middle and four large, almost transparent snow balls rotating around it. Each of the four animated snow balls has a different Wingsong animation so you get a good variety.

You may have already noticed we don't take much seriously at the Dojo. We wouldn't know true elegant skating if it bit us on our collective bottoms. What we know is normal, slightly shaky, a little wobbly skating. This skating rink is all about fun - not good posture. And not much romance, either. You get no couples skating.

TO USE:

1 - REZ your Wingsong Ice Skating Rink (2 prims) - it has foot print of about 30 x 30, but can be stretched as much as 64 x 64.

2 - REZ and position your Wingsong Ice Skating Rink Snowballs (5 prims).

3 - Anyone who visits can sit on any of the four revolving snowballs to skate. The snowballs go alpha when someone is skating on them, and reappear when not being skated upon.

Folks can sit on the fence as well. How many? I can't count that high. But ALOT.

Note: Do NOT link the skating rink with the snowballs.

BONUS

Wingsong Bench with Newspaper: In case your guests want to sit on a bench with a couple of original Wingsong animations, we're including a FREE snow version of our park benches. Full sculptied and only 3 prims, these are great park benches. I like putting my park bench in the middle of the rink with the back to the big central snow ball.

Everything here is COPY/MOD, so make all the copies you want and recolor, redecorate, resize, retexture, reDO to make it fit YOUR specs! I'm even throwing in a FREE Wingsong Modify Box, a simple, easy to use tutorial for folks with little experience in the EDIT tool.
