We at the Wingsong Dojo love ice skating, snow, microcosms, and penguins. The Wingsong Microcosm: Winter brings all these together. You've heard of Dances With Wolves? Meet Skates With Penguins!
This package includes a microcosm with 3 texture changers to give you a variety of winter scenes, one of the nicest snow emitters around, an evergreen sort of tree, 2 penguins that spawn smaller penguins who will skate with you and our popular skating animation HUD.
MICROCOSM'S FEATURES
1 - The globe has a relaxing texture animation engine in it that gives a very realistic impression of actual travel through space and time. Click on the globe to access one of 22 preinstalled skies for you to enjoy. You can also easily add your own (up to a total of 22) by dragging deleting some of my textures and dragging yours from your inventory into the globe's Content Tab through the Edit tool.
Click on the floor to access a menu for 7 textures; you can add additional ones as well (total 22 textures allowed). The floor also rotates very slightly - just enough to give you a sense of movement.
2 - To keep folks from falling out of their world, I have not checked the PHANTOM feature in the Edit tool. I found that placing my Wingsong Holodecks in space with teleporters (not included in this package) was more convenient.
3 - The globe is sized at 40 x 40 x 40. The floor is sized at 40 x 40 x 0.01. These can easily be resized down to VERY tiny, and up to 64 using your STRETCH feature in your Edit Tool. When resizing, be sure to use the EDIT LINK feature and resize only the globe and the floor.
4 - Touch the tree to change its textures (preploaded with 12). It revolves around slowly.
5 - Touch the snow ball on top of the tree to toggle snow on and off.
6 - Because my Wingsong Holodecks and Microcosms are designed with a commitment for low prim usage without the use of rezzers, you can easily set out more than one (we make a whole line of holodecks available at our Marketplace store). This one clocks in at only 4 prims. I generally keep several holodecks and microcosms stacked on top of one another way above the dojo. To visit them, come by the dojo and take the taxi teleporter located just to your left on the front deck.
PENQUINS' FEATURES
Your Papa Penguin comes in 2 versions: REZ and WEAR (ADD from your inventory to wear). The REZ version has 7 prims; the WEAR has 13 due to his wearing a cap and scarf. Both will spawn smaller penguins when you touch them.
The little penguin spawns sit on ice blocks and will skate with you. You'll have to help guide them as you skate toward them from behind but they are quick to get into formation. It's a sight to behold seeing an avatar herding a mess of little penguins around the skating rink!
SKATING AO HUD
We're including our full featured Wingsong AO HUD: Skating with this package. Here's how to use it:
1 - Remove or Disable other Animation Overrides. ADD your Wingsong AO HUD - Skating. It will automatically position itself near the top center of your screen. Small and nearly transparent, it is very unobtrusive and you can easily reposition and modify it.
1 - Clicking on the Power Switch (the left button of your HUD) makes your AO active; clicking it again disables it. Very handy. The switch turns green when active and fades into near invisibility when disabled.
2 - Clicking on the Wingsong Logo (the bottom right button of your HUD) brings up 11 adjunct animations (see above for specifics). There are a couple of animations from the main AO in the adjunct menu as well.
3 - Clicking on the Options Switch (the top right button of your HUD) brings up a menu of options including, among several things, this info sheet, up to a maximum of 12 different sets of animations (this HUD only has the one set of space animations; you can add 11 more), and selecting default animations for various key positions as well as a status report. The Options Switch remains green all the time symbolizing our constant ability to choose.

1 - Wingsong Skating Scarf B: It's pretty, flexi, unisex, and it matches your penguin.
2 - Wingsong Skating Cap V2: It's also pretty, unisex, and it also matches your penguin. It emits a light off or on when you click it.

Everything here is COPY/MOD. Make all the copies you want and recolor, redecorate, resize, retexture, reDO to make it fit YOUR specs! I'm even throwing in a FREE Wingsong Modify Box, a simple, easy to use tutorial for folks with little experience in the EDIT tool.
