"Chabana" literally means "tea flowers" and is a style of flower arrangement intended for the tea room. Chabana is related to ikebana, but is not a style of ikebana. It is its own art form. The flowers used in this style are meant to evoke the natural landscape. They should stand as if they were growing in the garden itself. This is a notable difference from ikebana where one may use other aids to form the shape of arrangement like pruning, bending, or sitting unnaturally (aiming to look ornamental as opposed to natural).

This arrangement uses Tsubaki (camellia) and Tosa Mizuki (winter hazel), both of which are perfect for bringing in the atmosphere of a winter garden into the room.

Land Impact information is based on the packaged size (which should roughly fit your tokonoma). You could size it up to 3.25m tall and it will still be 2 Li. Because it is 3 linked parts, it won't read any less than 2 Li even when smaller.

2 Li Yasyn - Chabana - Tsubaki & Tosa Mizuki

If unlinked...

0.5 Li Vase & Base
0.5 Li Flower
0.5 Li Branch

Land Impact is rounded up, so each piece will appear as if 1 Li.
Because it is actually 0.5, you can link any two together and it will still be 1 Li.

The vase and the platform are two different faces. Feel free to hide any one of them. I hope you will enjoy the arrangement as a whole or feel free to use any piece in your own custom arrangement!
