Bring your face alive! Smile and/or wink as often as you like.
Yav's smiler and winker comes with two smiles and two winks. Unlike other similar products, it is fully configurable. You can set it to smile and/or wink at fixed or random intervals, and you can specify the interval. Full instructions are provided.
The notecard provided follows; read on to see just how much this can do!
Yav's Smiler and Winker Instructions
======================
Yav's Smiler and Winker is an invisible object which you attach to your avatar, and causes you to smile and wink (emote) at pre-determined, or random, intervals. The intervals are configurable as described below. It listens to your commands on channel 25, but this can be changed if it conflicts with other objects.
The first step is to wear it.
By default it attaches to the right hip, but it can be attached anywhere. Obviously, you will want to attach it to somewhere which does not already have an attachment.
You don't have to do anything else. This will cause you to smile and wink as follows:
smile1: every 20 seconds
smile2: turned off (set to 0)
wink1: every 47 seconds
wink2: every 255 seconds
Configuring your smiler and winker
=====================
To command the object, prefix the commands listed here with /25 (or, if you change the listening channel, use whatever number you change it to). For example, in your chat window, type:
/25 random on
to turn on the random feature.
The commands are not case sensitive.
Commands
======
random on
random
Causes the time interval between emotes to be random, between 1 second and twice the set interval for each emote.
random off
Sets the interval to exactly the time specified for the emote. This is the default setting.
channel n
listen n
Changes the channel the object listens on to channel n, e.g. "/25 channel 46" will cause the object to listen on channel 46. All subsequent commands to the object must then be prefixed by "/46", and it will then no longer listen on the previous channel. So make sure you don't forget what you set it to!
reset
Resets the script to its default values.
smile n
smile1 n
toothsmile n
Changes the interval between smile 1 emotes. If random is on, the effect is to change the average interval. E.g. "/25 smile 30" sets the (average) time between smiles to 30 seconds.
smile2 n
Changes the interval between smile2 emotes.
wink n
wink1 n
Changes the interval between wink1 emotes.
wink2 n
Changes the interval between wink2 emotes.
If you just type any of the above emotes (smile, wink etc) without an argument, it will cause your avatar to smile or wink immediately. This will not have any effect on the timing of the next emotes. E.g. "/25 smile" will cause you to smile right away.
The script will warn you if it doesn't understand something. It will also inform you when you successfully change something. If you want to turn this warning off, use the command "whisper off". Similarly, to turn it on again, use "whisper on". No-one else can hear what the script says, though, anyway. It only talks to its owner.
If you wonder what the script is doing, and want to see its current status, the command is "status". If you think the script has gone wrong, please IM Yavanna Llanfair with the output of "status".
With version 1.0 (this version), it is possible to set emotes to short durations. For example, smile 1 will give a more or less continuous smile.
If the script does not respond to commands, detach it from yourself, rez it to the ground (make sure you press ctrl-alt-T so you can see invisible things), right-click, edit, go to contents, double click on the script, and select "Reset" at the bottom. Then take it again, and wear it. Occasionally, for some reason, users have reported this problem when they first receive the item. If you have not been asked by the script for permission to animate your avatar, this is probably the cause of the problem.
Please IM Yavanna Llanfair with any comments, problems or suggestions. I would also be glad to consider any custom work. If you like this script, please tell your friends about it. Thanks!
NOT as like picture ...
Picture show smile with eye open ... actual smile is with eye close. NOT what i was look for.
5 Stars for the outstanding friendly kustomer service and business policy! The smiler works very stabile and offers a well ballanced random smile and wink routine. Its also easy to set in intervalls and combinations.
I like the smile with teeth showing sometime, but would rather just have a smile on most occasions. Nice product.
This is a great "set and forget" animation attachment. I just wish that someone would make a smile expression that looks really attractive...although the closed-mouth "smile2" in this one comes pretty close.
I love it....no more bored all the time look
just wish it was copyable
