***OLD ITEM - SCULPTED PRIMS***

What would a tree look like in the year 3013? Is it a robotic tree or a dendric power facility?
Its a DENDROID - the dendric android...

An odd shape, wires from the trunk to the ground, fluorescent tree mushrooms, glowing foliage
with circuit patterns, solar cell coating - or even changing between 65.000 colors,
escher-esk bark and you can see neuro synthetic circuits where the bark peels off...
You almost can not decribe that robot, errr - tree. You have to see it!

The DENDROID v1.0 marks a new era of .:buddhabeats:. trees. Customizeable like no other of my trees!
Rescale it from bonsai size to huge ancient tree - it will always fit your land.
Tint the leaves, adjust the glow with the built in control panel or even use the SL (tm) building tools if it isnt enough.
The smart temp rezzed controller does not count against your land prim count and is only rezzed when needed.
It recalculates its position depending on the size of the tree and remembers if you have moved it to another position.

Of course this tree is friendly to your environment with efficient scripting and low lag!
A tree for the people of tomorrow...

Older tech tree holds some charm
full star full star full star full star empty star Posted January 26, 2019 by Bellimora Bunny

It's a 14 prim tree that looks more synthetic then anything. Hex panel trunk wires weaving into the ground, glowing mushrooms. Strange digital leaves. Everything about it screams synthesized. The detail work in the tree is lovely. The author didn't simply slap some tech textures on a tree and call it a day, they added various nuances to sell the point.

That said. It's sculps. It's going to rezz as a collection of sphers and half-trunk until your viewer decides to download all the sculp-texture data and it'll snap into the shape of a tree. Far less elegent then modern mesh tree solution. ONce it's fully rezzed however it looks great.

Now, I know some of you are now thiking "Well if it's a sculp what happens to the LI if I try to get saucy and apply alpha-masking to the leaves or a custom material to the trunk?" And the answer is you end up with a 22 LI tree. Considering how much some sculp stuff jumps up when you apply materials this is rather tame, but it is an increase, but it's still tame.

All and all it's a nice build. I wouldn't let the sculps scare me away from purchasing it if I were looking for a high tech plant.

I give it four stars because it's truly well above average and a well done piece but falls shy of perfection.

Wanna make it look like it's 2004?

Buy this tree! The second someone rezzes into your sim they will see gigantic balls as the horrible thing rezzes in. Come on. You could sell a REALLY nice mesh tree that had 14li. Why sell this really ancient stuff? Looks ok if you don't mind your sim lagging from old stuff.

Funky, fun, and really well made

This chap, Roopert, he has stolen my soul with his hi-tech trees lately. I have his holographic ones, and now... his Denodroid.

This is one seriously well made cybernetic tree. Not that I'd know what one would look like in real life if they ever made one. :D But it looks hot, well textured, the control panel customiser is without doubt the best designed facility I've seen for customisation and, oh, it shrinks REALLLy well. So much so, you could wear one on your head, and almost as a necklace. :o

Looks hot, and if you're setting up a cyber sim, home or playground, you need one, and his holographic ones, they are simply awesome, I can't wait to see more varieties of Denodroid :D
